They would be for use in a book. Photos would be fully credited and a copy of the book when printed would be provided. You can take photos two ways, vertically or horizontally. I need a horizontal shot showing the animal from the side and a little from the top, like the example I have attached.
I was wondering if anyone could help. I am working on a project and need horizontal, high-quality photos of the following species:
Aphonopelma bicoloratum
Avicularia avicularia
Avicularia braunshauseni
Brachypelma smithi (formerly annitha)
Grammostola actaeon
Megaphobema mesomelas
Orphnaecus...
I have it in a cage with a lot of ventitaion. She (?) definitely hangs out in the middle of the web all of the time. I will try the moth with tweezers.
I recently received a beautiful female Nephila pilipes and have followed all of the care sheets I could find. She is in a cage and has made a web, but it doesn't appear as though it is completed enough to catch anything. I have live crickets in there and have introduced flying insects such as...
The good news is that the landlord was completely fine with it, and even said they're kids would be very interested in seeing them! Thanks for everyone's help on this matter!
Thanks for everyone's input! I really appreciate it! All of the suggestions were very helpful. I am going to go with the honesty route, though agree that leaving out the feeders thing is probably a good idea. I will bring pictures with me of my current set ups as well.

This was my first dealing with Casey after she answered a want ad I placed for a female Grammostola pulchripes. The one I had just recently died of old age and I was heartbroken, as she was one of my favorite animals. Though I have spiderlings now, I really wanted an adult female as they tend to...
I recently found these scorpions in Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve in Austin, TX. Can anyone ID them? FYI I only photographed them; I did not remove them from their habitat. Thank you.
I will be in this area in July and was wondering if anyone knew of any good spots to photograph tarantulas and scorpions in the wild? Thanks in advance.
I will be in Austin next month and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on places to find tarantulas to take pictures of. I would prefer national parks but am open to any suggestions. Thanks!
When I went to feed everyone yesterday I found that my female Grammostola sp. maule had made an egg sac. I have never had a tarantula make an egg sac and am unsure of what to do. Any suggestions?
