Last April 17-18, my versicolor molted (now a little over 3"), a week and a half later it ate a meal worm( i saw the remains). seeing it has eaten, i decided to move it to it's ultimate enclosure (dimension 12"x12"x24"). For the first few days it explored it's new home, then finally settled on a...
am doing some research before i go and actually buy a couple of slings...
i've read on how they should be kept and all, but some of what i've been reading on the husbandry of desert scorps are confusing..
i know this species are communal, can i keep them together as slings? OR do i keep...
i get some sort of parasites in my substrate..its black shiny mite shaped pests, who are quiete visible to the naked eye...
i don't even KNOW how they get into the containers, because i made this moat (to keep ants away)...
i notice they creep up when the substrate is moist..they are pretty...
My cousin & i found this really weird looking spider in our resthouse...i only noticed it looked weird when i used the macro feature on my camera..
it reminded me of the mata mata turtles....can someone ID this spider?
yes!! i love that they have a good appetite..can't help but compare mine to the versi & minax though..weird though my chromatus will eat the day before moulting, so it's has a shorter premoult period?
so i never know when it's premoult, i just see the moult
so basically, it will eat when it is ready to eat?
and in my case, since the versi ate, it meant its fangs were already fine, because IF the fangs weren't hardened enough the versi sling wouldn't have eaten..
well that makes me feel loads better
well it finished the half meal worm last sunday, so haven't tried feeding it again..i figure it's kinda full from that meal...he sucked the worm dry...
will be trying to feed him again tom...
now i am worried..i just got my 2cm versi last sunday & the importer didn't tell me it had just molted (last friday), well being in transit the past few days (i live in the philippines & it was shipped from the US), i fed it a chopped meal worm & the versi sling ate it all up, sans the skin...
