It did get pretty cold in the cage... i put all my heating lamps away during the summer being that I live in arizona and its very warm here... its just starting to cool down so im hoping that the heat will bring her back... i feel really bad if shes dead :(

i have an emporor scorp and im pretty sure she is dead but someone told me that they can hibernate... ive picked her up and she doesnt respond at all to anything i have tried... is it possible shes hibernating or is my baby dead ?

yeah i did tape my arm and those gloves are pretty damn thick... u would have a hard time getting a needle through it... yeah i kept imagining the scorp running up my arm and then stinging or pinching me there so thats where the tape came into play...

Hey Im thinking about getting a spider but have no idea whats a good first spider...I have a 10 gallon tank that I can use for it and figured thats a good size for one... if anyone can help me out and post pictures of good newbie spiders and their names that would be greatly appreciated...

i held her the second time to take the pic and then she got tired of it apparently because shes retreated to her den... when you say ''tail her'' does that mean grab her by the tail and put her on your hand ?

woo i did it with a little help from a hard rbber glove masking tape all the way up my arm followed by duct tape all the way up my arm and tongs to push her onto my hand... :)

but anyway is there any special way to do it ?? i read somewhere to pick her up from the side but i was also thinking to just put my hand down and push her onto it with tongs...

yeah since im really worried bout hurting the scorp haha... i can just imagine her big juicy looking tail penetrating my skin...

haha yeah i was trying to move one of my baby emps and he grabbed onto the tongs with a death grip, took a good deal of shaking and yelling let go before he actually let go

Alright im not posative but im fairly sure that mostly I have striped tails and desert hairys... being that there tails are striped is where i get that guess from hehe...

Here at my dads house and without going further then 100 yards from his house ive cought more then 20 scorps... all kinds of different ones too!! it was a scary and exciting experience... i first turned on the black light and saw 3 scorps surrounding me within 5 feet and had no idea they were...

well my dad left camera at work so ill just try and describe them... they have a darker body and yellowish libs and tail... if someone can post a pic of some az scorps I should be able to pick it out...
