    Deformed abdomen?

Greetings all. My B. albopilosum female just molted and I noticed something odd. The abdomen seems to be misshapen. Have a look: That is a picture from straight above her, face first in the water dish. Is it due to her still soft exo, or possibly a bad molt? Is it anything to worry about...

    B. albopilosum molting!

Yeah she laid a mat down and a 'defensive' web with hairs in it right around there. Was pretty awesome to watch. Here she is, still in the dish. I want to give her water but I don't want to disturb her.

is my invert ready to molt?

My G. rosea went for 2 years without eating. I got her Fathers Day '06, she ate until October of that year, then steadfastly refused food for two years, until she molted on 11/03/08. She still drank, and was active, but she would not touch a cricket, a roach, a pinky, nothing. She's now eating...

    Thinking about getting a ferret...

Cancer, I'm not too sure. I do know that both of my boys are almost 7 years old, and while one has an adrenal gland issue, he's being medicated for it and otherwise is as healthy as a horse.

    Thinking about getting a ferret...

Keep in mind that most ferrets in US pet stores come from Marshall Farms, who descents and spays/neuters their ferrets before they send them out. You can tell if your furro is from Marshall if they have two little dots tattooed on their (I believe) right ear.

Tiny slings - what am I doing wrong?

Thanks for all the help guys. I know at some point in the future I'll be keeping plenty of these tinier guys, so any and all advice is much appreciated. I'll lean towards the drier side from here on out.

    New B. albo female

She is a doll. (No, I don't as a rule handle my spiders, but she came out to say hi, and a co worker had a camera handy)

Tiny slings - what am I doing wrong?

That's what I've heard, and thats what I want to believe. Funny thing is, I've only ever lost 4 spiders, and 3 of them have been B. vagans!

Tiny slings - what am I doing wrong?

Yeah his is alive and trucking, and we keep them identically.

Tiny slings - what am I doing wrong?

I recently acquired 3 B. vagans slings. One went to a buddy as part of a trade. These guys were TINY, easily the smallest spiders I've ever kept. 1/4", maybe. I bought a fruit fly culture, fed them well, kept them moist (but not soaked) so they'd have water. After a few days, one of em...

Versicolor acting strange...or not. Video incl.

I had a versi sling that did this as well. And an A. avic. I wouldn't worry too much. Mine eventually settled down and webbed themselves up.
