He was drooling, hacking, and licking his mouth till around 11am yesterday morning when it finally subsided enough for him to eat. He's a quick learner though, never went near the trashcan tonight. :wicked:
So far no sign of throat swelling, thankfully. Other than making it drool and lick its mouth all the time, it's not really affecting is behaviour any, he's still full of piss and vinegar as always. heh
This is a first for me...
I have a pet, we'll call it a cat, as it acts similar to one. Anyway, it turned over my trashcan in the basement and found a dead and dried up tarantula whereupon it chewed it up before I could take it away. By that time, it was too late.
It's vomited up pieces...
The zoo has been here for years, heh. They recently build a new Amazonia exhibit that everyone tells me is awesome, but I've not seen it yet. I'm never on that side of Evansville for anything, maybe I should make a special trip sometime.
Where was the reptile show at? I never heard anything...
Here are a few pictures of them..
Charlie, a male of unknown breed picked up at a pet store:
Rosemary, prepping her nest. Got her from a local farm store.
Lavender as a young lady. She is my other adult female who is actually an offspring of Lavender and another male now deceased...
RoachGirl:
I've thought about adding plastic corner potties like our ferret used, but they chewed the hell out of those black rubber water bowls this winter, I really didn't want to pay $12 for another "chew toy". Besides, they're fancying themselves a bunch of beavers based on the wood...
I've got 4 adult rabbits and currently eight 7-week old babies. They are housed in homemade hutches outside. The hutches' dimensions are approximately 30" wide by 48" long composed of 1/2" hardware cloth on 2/3rd of the enclosure and an enclosed plywood nestbox with solid bottom.
These...
Rabbit shows, contact your local 4H office and ask who breeds rabbits, vet office bulletin boards to name a few. And as much as I hate pet stores, our pet stores here carry most fancy breeds of rabbits every now and then and they're locally bred.
I never thought I'd see the need to buy dandelion seeds, they're so copious throughout the US, but here ya go! I rarely find the big plants here, mostly little ones. I do pick them in the spring to add to our own salads, and they taste pretty good...
I'd keep them separate, its asking for trouble otherwise.
With one being male and one female, the male will hassle the female for mating all of the time. Not to mention the factor of disease transference (you're getting it from an unknown source), so if you can house them separately for...
Mine was a year old before he was even remotely interested in most green things. He'd eat fruit and slightly cooked squash or yams like no one's business, but green things were apparently poisonous. I'd chop up greens really small so they'd get stuck to his fruit and yams, which was the only way...
They're doing great so far. They're growing faster than her first litter did, they've got their eyes open and are wandering around the nest box on their own locomotion.
They're also heartier than the first litter, which may just be a product of the season they were born in. Her first litter...
A month ago we had them everywhere...but we've had several freezes since and I've not seen one since. They just seem rather fragile and not all that interesting as pets. We have a few different "kinds", but I don't know the genus or species.
I just found one I like in an aquarium store, it was on the backside of a freshwater aquarium background. It's rocks and such, looks deserty to me. Just buy something that'll fit the height okay and then cut to size.
Yes. There is also a similar spray made from pyrethrins that's made for reptiles and is a bit easier to use on reptiles, Reptile Relief. You spray it on a cloth or the snake itself and rub it all over. You can also spray it in the cleaned out enclosure and let it dry and it'll kill the little...
Yeah, hamsters definitely aren't as versatile for dressing up. You could put them in a ball though! {D
I don't usually feed trolls either, but this one was just too good to resist toying with.
