Just wondering why every time after eating, my rosea sling picks up a lump of substrate and walks around with it. These pictures were taken at different incidents. She/he does not seem to do anything with it she/he just takes for a walk for a couple of hours. Any ideas?
A fellow pinoy, welcome to the hobby, I know the guy you're getting the T from, his a great guy to deal with. You can try to contact fellow local hobbists. You can try posting in PPF to be able to know some of them.
If your afraid that they will escape when you change the substrate, heavily mist the substrate first before changing. The pinheads will stick to the substrate and can't move as easily.
Greetings!
Just wondering if it's ok to keep s. subspinipes in bone dry substrate? I did place a big 1" deep water dish to keep the humidity up.
Thanks for your time.
I don't think the towel was a big issue coz I taped it to the sides so it will not cover the vent holes on the lid. The tape only cover about a few inches of vent holes.
Help me solve this please.
I saw my female T. blondi two weeks ago. I saw her through the glass behind her burrow and she was in the process of laying her eggs, so I left her alone and covered half the tank with a towel to keep it dark. After about five days I took a peek and she was still on...
Mine lived for 7 months. He died when he seemed to offer himself to the female. Instead of hooking her fangs he went under and offered his abdomen for the female to bite.:?

I need help in identifying this centipede. Was said to be Scolopendra spinossima, But I think it's Scolopendra subspinipes (Thailand).
What do you think?
Thanks.

I got some C.gracilis ( Cuban line) and I am thinking of getting more. But all I can find is the US line. What I seem to notice is that they are a bit smaller than those from Cuba.
The question is can I keep them in the same tank with the ones from Cuba?
Thanks.
