    Handling Ts

As an accomplished tarantula juggler, I am frankly appalled by your statement.

Silliest T advice you've ever heard at a pet store

Everyone knows that spiders love to show off to humans, you can help by cleaning out that pesky webbing every so often!

if you think all those tarantula stunts on TV are bad...

Seems like they aired "Eaten Alive" Sunday night. According to a Washington Post article I found on the Internet, the whole thing was a disappointment, as the guy was never actually swallowed. I'm relieved overall that the snake wasn't put in any danger, despite the false promises, but...

    Stacker Boxes

I actually found the same thing at Staples, labeled Really Useful Boxes. Really Useful indeed, and I'm planning a spree of box-buying soon...

    Eating crickets

I agree with Arachno-Smack here. Plus, even if she doesn't eat, it's shouldn't be a source of too much concern. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this is your first tarantula, so if you don't have a copy of The Tarantula Keeper's Guide yet, buy it. Very informative book.

    Advice Needed...

The Tarantula Keeper's Guide (3rd edition) has information on dealing with a bad molt (Pages 207 to 211), but I can't help any more than that, as I don't have any firsthand experience. Best of luck to you and your T.

Negative effects of a big terrarium on a tarantula?

Heck, I'd rather have 10 T's in big opulent cages than over a hundred in small ones. Seeing a pretty spider is one thing, seeing a pretty spider in a beautiful location is quite another.

Decent article about the 'dangers' of spiders

I'm just doing my best not to think about that bit, despite its low probability of happening to me. It's just one of those things... Eugh.

This should give you a good laugh. :D

"This spider is not deadly, but it still looks intimidating." Well, that's it everyone, see ya, I'm steering clear of any spiders for the rest of my life. ---------- Post added 11-25-2014 at 03:10 PM ---------- There is a comment on the article by a user called "namora," which really...

    bolus removal

Isopods (barklice) of various species can bought from many different reptile/invert sites. Just search "Isopods for sale" on Google, there'll be plenty of results. I think they need a damp cage though.

if you think all those tarantula stunts on TV are bad...

What purpose does this serve, other than to show the public that, yes, some snakes can swallow a human?! I cannot believe that the anaconda would enjoy this very much. And as for coming out unharmed... I doubt we can say the same for the snake.

I... have no idea what to say to this.

    Temperature for avicularia urticans?

Maybe you could use a space heater or something to raise the ambient temperature a bit? I've never actually had this issue though, so I could very well be wrong.

Harassment for being in this hobby??? Tell your story

Not to mention the bristles! ---------- Post added 10-27-2014 at 07:40 PM ---------- First off: whoa. That's messed up. Second: that was posted as I was typing my previous one. O.o

    P. Metallica melting my eyeballs with color after each molt.

Well, there go my eyes. At least I'll have that image to think about in my current blindness... but maybe a top-down shot would have been more colorful? **hint hint**

Silliest thing a layman has told you about Tarantulas

Today I got the usual "camel spider" story- you know, that they're vicious monsters that will gladly eat your flesh and grow to be two feet long. Ridiculous, of curse, but she said it with such conviction that I knew an argument would be a waste of time. Sorry, not really related to tarantulas...
