Oz has an amazing ability to bring a smile to pretty much anyone's face, even when he's a pain in the butt. ;)
Here he is showing off his new crate. Thank god it's folding, because it's 48"x30"x33"!
He's now over 91 lbs and will be 10 months old tomorrow!
well, oz is over 90 lbs and not even 10 months old now!
hiding from the vacuum in august:
passed out last month:
after eating the end off his kong toy:
he's also eaten the lattice off our shed platform, chewed a hole in the carpet and pulled the insulation off the piping...
I'm sorry, I HAVE to ask....
Why do you appear so compelled to feed as many different things as possible to your snakes? The nutritional value can't be much different (with the exception of chicks being fattening). It honestly seems to be more of a personal kick than a heath concern. A...
Meet "Bubba Chubs" the Chubby Frog.
He'd been sitting at the local pet store for probably a year, and the management finally put him on sale for $7.50 to free up the tank space. The guy who was running the cash register knows what else I keep, so he was happy to see the little guy go home...
AWWW! :D
i've only got my 2 pacmans (a low-green and a brown), 2 pyxies and the toad i rescued as a baby.
they don't move much, but there's something about them that's really appealing (and adorable). maybe i'm a sucker for a stomach with eyes?
g. pulchra was my second tarantula, raised from a tiny sling. she's definitely my favorite :D
and they're SO hardy, too. i personally think they're a great first tarantula, despite the higher price tag. enjoy!
moose is correct. :) Pyxies can have gorgeous orange/yellow patches around their legs. ( http://www.adambouskila.com/wp-content/uploads/african-pyxie-frog.jpg )
Red Leg (or at least the Red Leg in Xenopus) is typically observed with heavy sloughing of skin (not the normal thin shedding)...
He's definitely a monster!
My husband bought me a treadmill for our wedding anniversary since I've been looking to get one for a while. Oz has shown great interest in it and is already walking on the belt while it's on. YAY for being able to exercise the monster puppy!
i'm not one who gets in fevered arguments about things like declawing, but i'm opposed to it. so i'll just give my personal opinions and experiences.
i assisted in several declawings when i was a vet tech. looking back, i feel awful for doing it. it's typically only done in kittens where i...
poor little guy. :(
one of my cats ate my juvie female greenbottle blue tarantula a couple years ago. i was so mad at him, but in the end it was all my fault and he was just being a cat. it'd be like getting mad at a snake for eating a mouse.
did he accidentally escape from his enclosure...
I have to admit- they don't disappoint! What an appetite!!!
The little guy ate nearly a dozen roaches last night. I later found him soaking happily in his water dish like the little king he is. :D
