Hello,
I'm looking for permission to use pictures for a school project. I need very colorful Tarantula's, as they will be viewed by toddlers and preschoolers.
The project is to set up a teaching activity with them on a subject that I know really well, so I'm taking my tarantula to the...
oooh nice pictures... scott can I use the one with the snow, where the camera is really close to it, looking off into the horizen? It would look perfect on my desktop!
I've used 100% peat, eco-earth, peat/sand mixtures, and worm castings...
by far the worm castings worked the best, but I've been told that they arn't a good idea as worms are really suseptable to passing on pesticides... but mine came from a certified organic farm, with certified organic worms
Oh and BTW, if it hasn't been on the boards for very long, there is no point in "bumping" the thread up... I normally wait 2-3 days before bumping it;)
I went from having one full grown female G.rosea, to a unidentified/mis identified golden baboon (any one wanna take a shot at what it might be PM me and i'll send you a photobucket link to it...) to a sub-adult A.avic. I found it very easy to take care of. Too bad he molted out MM 4 months...
I used a simular container for my H.incei female. She is living quite happy in there. Word of warning, they tend to keep humidity very high, I rarley have to water my girl because this. Practice with one before you put a T in it, as you need to figure out the ins and outs of the container.
It slipped past me that it wasn't a miranda... I thought you meant something in the molt went wrong... so here I am counting legs, and looking for tell tale MM features...
Then when I couldn't find anything wrong, I looked at some of the other posts...:o
Sorry to hear you got a mislabeled...
