My African Giant Millipede has been very lethargic lately, in the past two weeks I haven't seen it move from a semi-curled position slightly on top of the soil. When I do my usual spray from a water bottle the legs move slightly, and he may have buried himself slightly more but I haven't noticed...
I keep my rats (dumbo eared cutest things in the world) at work. People come in, they see them, and our conversation usually starts with an "ewww those are so gross." I get this multiple times every day. Doesnt bother me most of the time, but this one lady came in with her dog in her purse and...
Nice catch! And yes, what will be happening with them? You can leave them together for awhile to cannibalize, cuts down on some numbers, and they get a few first meals

Best way with any captive animal is to understand why they do certain things and when they do certain things. Knowing natural behavior is critical to their survival. What you do is mimic nature as well as you can without imposing a threat to the animal(s), such as adding predators to the...
Mr. Elithial, what you've just said... is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I...
Here they are now. Some didn't hatch and I believe some of them didn't make it after hatching. But most of them seem quite active!
They just grow up too fast :)
Yes they were very fast! I would put my pen on the web and shook it gently. It was tough getting pictures of most of them because they would bit at the pen and run back inside the funnel within a second. I could barely keep up.
I went down the first hill, crossed a stream, and continued out between two pond-like areas, aiming for the second hill that I knew would have a great view. Kind of swampy, but still beautiful.
In some wood piles and rocks I found these little guys
And then something even...
