I have done some research, and still haven't found my answer. My question is when will it be safe to put my tarantulas back in the room that was sprayed? I'm currently testing it with a few crickets, to see if anything happens to them.
One of my snakes has mites, and I finished treating all the snakes in the room with both Reptile Relief and Provent A Mite, after moving all of my inverts out of the room. My question is, when is it safe to move them back in? It has been two days since I sprayed anything.
...Vriska, is that you?
REGARDLESS I have the WORST taste in names, with the criminally overused B. albopilosum named "Curly", my G. pulchripes named "Goldie", and my L. parahybana named "Lassie". "Vriska", a spider-themed character from a webcomic, also seems very popular. She is somewhat...
About six months after I got my first tarantula, a B. smithi. I'd been working with TONS (hundreds) of baby tarantulas, both old world and new, at a local breeder. They were AWESOME, and taught me to never let my guard down around any of them, and showed me how they work with their OW...
Lookin' good! That Aphonopelma is one of the most gorgeous spiders of its genus I've ever seen, and you've sold me on most of the other species as well!
Ah, here we go!
G. pulchripes "Goldie"
M. cabocla "Cha Cha"
P. cambridgei "Speedy"
B. smithi "Vriska"
B. boehmei "Europa"
B. albopilosum "Curly"
L. parahybana "Lassie"
L. mactans "Bellatrix III"
So sorry for your loss, that's horrible! All I can say is to buy pinhead to 1/4 inch crickets at a pet store for her, since that's what I feed mine. They don't tear up the web as much as the larger ones either.
Aw, she's gorgeous! I really don't get why spiders are so maligned either, and especially why people can look at an animal that you obviously love and then suggest you kill it. Heck, I keep a black widow, and she's the most docile and well behaved animal I've ever worked with. Of course, the...
Hello! I've been keeping black widow spiders (Latrodectus mactans) for about a year and a half, and what awesome creatures they are! I live with my mom and we have a small population of widows in our garage. She likes spiders, but she doesn't really want this species hanging out in our garage...
