The colors on it really are incredible. A. Purpurea has always been my favorite t in the Avicularia genus but this little one may change my mind really quickly. I really hope it's a female! I would love some more of these guys!

It could be. It looks similar to the female molts of that size that I've looked at under a microscope. It's hard to tell without being able to manipulate the molt to see I'd it is just a fold or not.

Three for one molt! Had two avic slings and my GBB molt in the last 24 hours! Huzahhh!!! One more spider to go!

Tis the season I guess. I had a new addition A. versi molt last week and five of my other six should be flipping any day now. Must be the weather or something in the water.

I would say a GBB is a must have. Pretty, fiesty and great eaters! Pretty much the perfect show off spider. :p On the other hand, my want to buys include the H. Mac and a B. Auratum. I have all the Avics that were on my list. ;)

Got a versi two weeks ago and thought it looked awfully dark and just found it molted. Cute little blue sling. :)

Agreed ^ That's what I do in my sling enclosures just add a few river rocks so that if the sling falls out it doesn't drown. I also live in Florida though and the humidity in my house is anywhere from 60-70% or higher at any given time.
