I bred my Avic metallica about two months ago. Two nights ago she showed up with what looks like an egg sticking out of her epigynum. She made a very small web ball, which upon dissection turned out to be simply a haphazard wad with two flat, dried out eggs in the middle.
I don't know how old...
My B. albo. She's a bite first, ask questions later type of gal. They say Ts aren't aggressive but Quixote will fly across her enclosure to bite anything that touches down, lol.
My B. albopilosum, Quixote. She's gorgeous, feisty as hell, and she's one tough b*****! If any T could survive a zombie apocalypse it'd be her.
Plus she was my first ever T and I just love her to pieces. Even if she does fantasize about biting me.
Does anyone know anything about Dolomedes minor? My specimen is fairly small, under 2", and I've had her a couple weeks. Today I found her with an egg sac! The holes in her current enclosure are too large for baby spiders, so I've got to figure something out before they hatch.
Can they survive...
A dog sized T would be SO COOL!! Imagine those urticating hairs, though. Yikes!

I had a tiny A. diversipes sling run out of its container and hide under my watch band! I was terrified to move my wrist and squish it. I got it out by blowing gently on it, but I no longer wear jewelry or long sleeves when opening baby Avic containers...
My versi's are extremely fast and...
Another suggestion: sometimes the tank setup can encourage a T to be more visible. One of my juvie versicolors is very webby and likes to hide, but I put him in a skinny, oblong tank. So now all his web tubes are up against the sides and I can almost always see him.
I think you're right. It says on this site that young males have bumps rather than horns, and the one horn on the front is pretty pronounced.

Thanks for the tip! I'd like to do some breeding with these guys, see if I can get a major male.
Here's some better pics:
Do you think it's female or a minor male?
I just dug out my larvae to check on him, and he's not a larvae anymore!! Super exciting! So now I need to identify him and figure out how to care for him (or her, as the case may be). At the moment, he buried himself back in the dirt, where I assume he intends to wait for spring? Any advice...
Oh no, big dogs get more annoying with SIZE, then get progressively less obnoxious as they age (assuming the owner knows what they are doing and trains & exercises the poor dog). If any dog is obnoxious, it's pretty much always due to poor training/management and lack of proper physical and...
See, I was thinking the opposite of that. I think baby humans, with very few exceptions, are ugly as sin. But lots and lots of adult humans are reasonably (and sometimes exceptionally) attractive.
