name tags with AB screennames sounds like a plan. I am planning on wandering the show from around 11:30 or so until 3 or 4. I wonder if the last minute deals will be as good as the early bird specials.
can't wait to meet more fellow hobbyists
:)
I will definatly be there! time to buy more tarantulas.
Daniel H there is definatly a chance. I was at the last show and saw them from sizes .5" to 3".
jaw droppers
I have to say ever T of mine when it molts into more of it's mature colors. there is just something about that dramatic change to mature colors and markings.
excited yet?
so who else has a wish list they are bringing with them for the show this weekend? mine is 2 pages, but I may have to limit myself to a few select T's.
burrow.
it is totally normal. I have an adult female who has a burrow she dug for herself. I look in at times and all I see are legs sticking out. Other times she is up at the top of her tank almost on the screen.
ok, so I use bottle tops from Gatorade and the like for my tarantulas, but I am finding that they are not big enough for my larger T's. What else do people use for water dishes?
Thanks
ckickets too
I found out when I was feeding my slings, that if you pull the body off a cricket (trying to remove back legs) the head will still run around with out the body for a few seconds. kinda creepy yet interesting.
Why is it that no one seems to want rosie slings? I have 14 of them and I know they are common and all that, but are they that common they are no longer a desired spider, especially as a tiny sling?
will females drum? I have a female P. irminia that was drumming her fron 4 legs and her pedipalps. I am interested in breeding her but want to make sure that is what is happening ahead of time.
thanks
she is roughly 5.5 to 6 inches in leg span (leg i to leg iv)
Okay So I have been crusing the boards now for several months. Why is it that people insist on labeling tarantulas as agressive? Agression is an concoius act towards something. About the only possible thing a T could be accused of being agressive towards is crikets, roaches and other feeder...
So I need so advice/input. I am wondering what the next Tarantula(s) should I get. I currently have:
2 Acanthoscurria geniculata
1 Avicularia avicularia
1 Avicularia versicolor
1 Brachypelma albopilosum
1 Brachypelma smithi
1 Citharischius crawshayi
1 Grammostola aureostriata
14...
