Hey there. Millipedes do molt on the surface at times. Though, they do so in a curled position. Have you tried moving it to see if it reacts?

I acquired seven Heterophrynus batesii out of this brood on October 9, 2013. Four of the seven are fourth instar (or whatever you prefer to call them) and the other three are very close to ecdysis. Awesome creatures! I'm glad everything worked out and gave me the opportunity to work with this...
