Yes, she was bred in late march. Introduced to the male on two occasions, I saw good insertions both times. Somehow I never really expected to get an egg sack! I have dampened the substrate on the opposite side of her enclosure from where she is. I'm not sure if I should feed her right away or...
My G. aureostriata just dropped a huge egg sack this morning! I am wondering if I should increase the humidity in her tank as I have always kept it quite dry (peat moss substrate). I have read that the eggs can dry out quickly. Also should I feed her right away? I'm not sure if either of these...
I have heard many people call the Chilean Rose Hair many different scientific names. I have heard G. cala, G. gala and G. rosea. Is there any official scientific name for it, and if there is, what is it? ::::]

1. Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens (Greenbottle Blue)
2. Psalmopoeus cambridgei (Trinidad Chevron)
3. Ephebopus cyanognathus (Blue Fang Skeleton)
4. Aphonopelma moderatum (Rio Grande Gold)
I think the title should go to the Blue fang Skeleton, because in each different stage of color it looks pretty. I might say King Baboons, but they are hardly underrated.
I got a Chaco about 2 years ago, and she is very docile. The only time I ever saw her do a warning pose was right after mating, and she mated pretty easily. I have never been bit or flicked at, but I have only taken her out once. She was fasting for a bit, but it was pre-molt. I got a G. Cala a...
Hi everyone,
I am getting another tarantula (my third) and I would like to get an Aphonopelma Moderatum. I have heard different things about their temperments, and one website had an ominous "?" next to "temperment". If anyone has one, please let me know how it behaves. ::::]...
