Mine is in an aquarium with a hide and thats it...they mostly stay hidden and don't do much...i have had him for some time now...they are awesome to watch eat though but don't get your hands too close...they go after fingers!

I meant for winter. Where it is not eating for no reason other than it is the time that it wouldn't. I think most snake people understand often a lot of snakes around the winter months stop feeding.

I keep mine in a plastic container. They burrow somewhat but I see them often enough. They are a good size. Larger than Heros I would say. You have too keep them very humid!

what is the difference in substrate in those areas...maybe the darker the dirt the darker the pede... the more you get into new mexico the lighter the sand right?
