Raised some slings from eggs and some molt when they're only days old.:) But I guess you were asking to get an idea of the frequence of their molts. When they're that small, and fed normally, you can expect them to molt every couple of months.

Acanthoscuria and Lasiodora are tough, good eaters and grow quite quickly. You could try your hand at raising one of them slings (spiderlings). Or you could also go for one of the dwarf species like Holothele or Cyriocosmus.

Update:
On October 30, 2008 (99 days after egg production) slings are all independant now. About 20 didn't make it through 2nd molt.
I'm beginning to separate them now.

By the way, what did you do with the first eggcases you found? Threw them away?:) Might as well take a look in the garbage!!

I'm about to separate my slings. They should be independant in a couple of weeks. I know pill vials are used by experienced breeders. And I already have mine. But I want to know: Have you ever tried a different kind of container for your small slings? With any success? Please share...
