I see one thing that looks like a spermathecae, but am not sure. I accidentally ripped the molt unfolding it so it seems entirely possible I ripped the other one off in the process. Thoughts?

Tucking herself in? Suicide? What is she doing...?

Almost sounds like you're describing a mature male making a sperm web. Can you post a few pictures of "her" including the front legs and pedipalps?

    L parahybana 5 inch plus

I'm fairly certain it's female, but when it molted a few months back, it shredded it's molt too much to tell. First time I've been able to get a shot of its bottom since then, too.

Crazy Coincidence. Does anyone have a T collection that does this?

I've had four of my nineteen Ts of different species and sizes molt this week. My best guess is that they've sensed all the slight changes in light and temperature and humidity and have realized it's spring. We just got over a week of storms and rain and now it's suddenly warmer and they can...

    P. pederseni (vitatta) ripped his own legs off?

I don't take lids off to mist, I just mist through the ventilation holes at the top of the tank. The sling is doing well, though, and at this point I think it's safe to say he's going to make it :)

    P. pederseni (vitatta) ripped his own legs off?

I was feeding my tarantulas a few minutes ago, and when I got to my 1.25" P. pederseni sling, I noticed he was missing two legs on one side of his body. He was at the top of his tank in his usual spot but his two legs were on the floor of the enclosure, and were still twitching. Normally I...

Blue Fang Sling Emergency - Dying??

He did end up dying sometime during today, unfortunately. It's probably for the better though, cause a 4 and a half legged, no pedipalp tarantula with old fang stuck to his new fangs probably wouldn't have lasted a long time. I'm kind of relieved he died on his own, because I didn't want to let...

Blue Fang Sling Emergency - Dying??

I thought he was dead when I woke up this morning for school, but when I came home I saw him twitching his two free back legs. Despite raising the humidity a ton, he couldn't seem to get out of his molt. I tried helping him out a bit, but he's so tiny it was hard to see or do anything. He ended...

Blue Fang Sling Emergency - Dying??

The substrate is wetter than it looks - I watered him yesterday when I fed him. I'll try and see if I can get some water on his legs, though I'm kind of afraid of drowning him in the position he's in.

Blue Fang Sling Emergency - Dying??

UPDATE: He's fallen off the side of the tank wall. He landed mostly on his back but he's just laying there wriggling his legs. It almost looks now like he is attempting to molt - I think I see signs of a few extra legs emerging but only two from one side of his body. Is there anything I should...

Blue Fang Sling Emergency - Dying??

I just got home and went to check on my tarantulas and noticed something not right. Everyone was fine when I left for work a few hours ago, all happy and content from eating yesterday, but I noticed something very noticeably wrong with my little 1 inch Blue Fang sling. It almost looks like...

    Turtle Help Needed ASAP?

He was floating, but the filter was pushing him under every time he got closer to it. That was how he would normally swim, just floating around in the water letting the current push him. Although normally he had all his limbs out, not just his back legs and his head. Unfortunately, warming him...

    Turtle Help Needed ASAP?

The other turtles aren't really playing with him, just playing around him/ignoring him. I put him inside a small container, which I placed inside another container of warm water (so that the water could warm him up without him being in the water) and put him under a light. It's an artist's...

    Turtle Help Needed ASAP?

I don't know of anywhere else to ask this but here, as this is the only forum I'm a part of. I'm hoping someone with a bit more turtle experience than me can help answer a question about one of my baby Red Eared Sliders. So, my smallest Red Eared Slider turtle - he's just barely over an inch...

    T. pruriens...pedicel problem or something else?

I've noticed something seems to be wrong with the pedicel of my little 2" Thrixopelma pruriens juvie. Whenever she is on a tank wall and not on the ground, her opisthosoma and prosoma seem to be bent at an awkward, broken angle, almost like her pedicel is broken or too weak to hold her...
