All my T's have heavy/deep dishes which has 3 purposes. 1) drinking 2) humidity and 3) since my enclosures have live plants I use the old/filthy weekly water to hydrate the plants which works out and ensures they always have fresh water. A for fears of drowning.... I have never seen a T below...
Should you want or need more pics use any of mine in the link or my gallery. Hope that helps

Just inquiring if anyone else has made any of these vents yet.....if so post some pics and any improvements. On a side note a quick lessons learned. You will have a much smoother cut if you drill half way in the acrylic with the hole saw and flip it to the other side to finish the cut.
Actually the marble isn't for a handle but instead used for a feeding/watering access point so I don't scare skittish T's and/or destroy their web everytime I lift the lid. I take a bendy straw to put water in the bottle caps when required and drop in a cricketonce a week for feeding. If and...
Well as many of my little ones are growing up I thought I'd share with you their accommodation as I'm sure they enjoy their stay cause they never leave.
So we start off with the Sling luxurious room for the little ones
Followed by the VIP Juvie Suite
The main attraction...
Get a bigger Tank or go buy a tote box......at least 20 inches wide. General rule enclosure 3 times the size (floor room) for terrestrials 3 times the height for arboreals keeping the width into concideration, you wouldn't go long and narrow like a track.
When my burrowers do this it generally tells me they want to move whether they're not happy with the current accomodations or they're about to out grow there burrow due to a comming molt I don't know. That's not saying everytime i see them out.....I had a Lividum run around in circles for 2...
If it's a rehouse I flush them out as they don't think they're under attack. I just start filling the container slowly with water and they casually walk up the glass as water forces them up then I take my catch cup and place it over them, slide lid in place and done. It's that easy and I've...
Same experience/observations as Poec54...I have18 Arboreal T's and only my Vericolor is behaving like a "true" Arboreal rarely touching the ground. All others hide underground during the day and venture in the uper half at night.
hard to tell from the picture but they enjoy hollow logs that are buried a few inches in the soil...especially as slings. I've had my girl since she was a 1/4inch and she's now 13yrs old, for the first year ish i almost thought she was confused and lived in a burrow....lol just something to...
Just make your own and customize how you see fit. It's very easy buy a large cork bark log a 4 foot one goes for approx $25, cut/crack shape however you want use hot glue and finish off with moss. I have a pic in my critique/comments thread below.
New terrestrial enclosure with X.Immanis enjoying new home
Arboreal with custom hide still waiting on hinges should be here on the 20th...yeay! L. Vioalaceopes is waiting
IMO they're quite standard in care but eat much more than others and grow exponentially fast....I got my sling 1 year ago at 1/4 inch and she's now 6 inches and lives in her rather large enclosure happy as can be. Once a week I mist, feed, clean-up and refresh all my T's water bowls. Her...
A few observations/questions......
1) your substrate looks rather wet so I'm inquiring if you have a medium between the water and substrate such as clay pellets and weed fabric to separate "dirt and water"
2) do you have a filter and water circulation (IE: pump) as that would clean your...
there is no door ATM as I'm waiting on hinges but if you look closely you'll see an opening forming the top 2/3rds where the door will be and that's a 10"x10"x16" To ensure everything was square I made half an open box (so 3 sides only) out of pressed wood/fiberboard and used a carpenters...
well here's the enclosure 90% complete just waiting on hinges and hasp to arrive in the mail. Overall looks good and I've learned a few things when bonding acrylic so my next ones should be a breeze....lol or next 20 i should say. I must say everything acrylic and polished will look awesome...
when it comes to loans collateral is the only way to do business and that's what it is you aren't friends so don't pretend to be unless you can walk over to "buddys'" place and ring a door bell. They pay an upfront fee and get a % back when the MM is returned then get the full amount back when...
