They don't have legs. White worm thingies. They look like maggots, though.

I'm very sure they're not springtails. They're too tiny for a pic.. @.@ sorry.. The bugs don't jump around and they do tend to stay in damp places and full of...
I looked at my blatta lateralis colony today and then I noticed the poop was moving. At closerninspection, there was a white less than 1 cm long but its thickness is no thicker than a penny crawling thing. It crawled like a caterpillar. Then at the corner of the colony, there was a number of...
Play safe first. Don't make them live in a communal set up YET. Breed your balfouris then once you have an egg sac, seprate half of your slings into individual vials and the other half into a communal set up :D It's a very long pRocess but at least you won't risk the chance of losing one...
Abdomens shrink everytime the t molts. The abdomen is mostly water and the tarantula moves through hydraulics so it pumps out the water from the abdomen to its new larger legs and carapace so that the space could be filled up. As long as it has access to water, it will be fine :)
Normal t being lazy during premolt. Just make sure you give your t access to water and all will be fine. Now you'll know the happiness of having a t that has just molted!
Whenever you plan to open the cage of a baboon or any t, put the enclosure in a very big tub first then open it. I've had instances of tarantulas jumping out of their enclosures everytime I blow on them but luckily, my ts are all alive! :D
When an article says that a T grows at a fast rate, does this mean it molts more often or the size increase after each molt is greater?
I've had a brachypelma vagans that molts more often than all my other ts and I noticed that my lasiodora parahybana had the greatest increase in size after a...
Keeping only one is not satisfying. Most of the time, it's doing completely nothing. But if you have 10, there's always something new to see. Having more tarantulas ensures that there's always a surprise in store for you. Just like what LuiziBee said.
There's also nothing more satisfying than...
If it won't eat, give it a week then try again next week. Or try prekilled prey. Usually, if it won't eat, just leave it alone because it's in premolt. Tarantulas are hardy anyway. No need to be worried if it won't eat. Just be patient.
Tarantulas very much like to annoy their owners by doing...
If the abdomen is plump and not shriveled, it's good. It should be at least slightly larger than the head. It's skinnier probab
Y because it won't eat.
I just leave a nearly dead roach overnight and the next dy, its gone. Dun give it cricket parts. Cut the cricket to size. Give it the juicy...
