Im back into Brachypelmas again, have had B. hamorii's forever but never bought others because they are usually too pricy especially Juveniles and females. But lately Ive seen a surge in them especially females and Juvies and I make enough money to get them now.
What did you expect to happen? You left the top open. So its naturally going to climb out and go about its business and its a good thing you found it. Also get rid of the heat lamp, as T's dont need it and its a good way to fry your tarantula.
I believe in studies with other primates, there a was tendency to have a fear of things like snakes and stuff but not sure about spiders or arachnids in particular.
I've heard brachys are not that hard to breed but maybe I am be wrong but I hardly ever see any B. auratum and I really want one, they are gorgeous spiders
