I'm new to the hobby, and my Rosea made an eggsac yesterday!

I have everything for the incubator you laid out for me, and I'm all set. Thank you so much John, I feel much better about doing all this and I probably wouldn't be attempting this at all if it wasn't for your guidance. ^_^ The humidity is up to 75% though, with it being 80 degrees, and the top...

I'm new to the hobby, and my Rosea made an eggsac yesterday!

LOL I'm not sure if she's been mated, and I've had her for 14 days and she hasn't molted in my care. So there's no telling, and I guess it's just a waiting game right now. It was overwhelming at first, but I'm hoping the sac is fertile. I've been doing everything I can to make sure that if it...

I'm new to the hobby, and my Rosea made an eggsac yesterday!

I looked up The Legacy of Annie Rose, and read the summary, and was like "HOLY CRAP!" hahaha I sounds so much like what has happened to me it's crazy! I have to buy this book and read it. I bought Layla to get over my arachnophobia, which she has more than helped me accomplish. And now all of...

Close up of her egg sac

Layla's eggsac is far smaller than most that I've seen, and a little thinner, you can actually see the perfect shape of the eggs through the web of the sac in this pic. I swear, it looks like there's maybe around 50 in there. We'll see.

    Layla bringing it out

I have a light in the top of her cage to help keep it warm in there, and she likes to take the sac out underneath it and lay with it... which I now know wasn't a good idea. It's off now, and I'm raising the temp thru outside means.

I think I've found a breeder that's not too far from here that is willing to meet me somewhere that can properly care for the egg sac and babies. She's even offered to split the wholesale costs. ^_^ I'm more worried about them making it than the money. Layla brought her eggsac out of the cave...

I'm new to the hobby, and my Rosea made an eggsac yesterday!

Yeah, that is a ways away from now. What's crazy, is that I just realized 35 days from when she laid them fall on my birthday! OMG lol That's crazy. I'm going to do just that and start a thread. 35 days suddenly seems like a very short amount of time to find a solution. But if not, this'll be a...

I'm new to the hobby, and my Rosea made an eggsac yesterday!

I'm inbetween Myrtle Beach SC and Wilmington NC, but will travel up to 3hrs out if I can find someone to take the eggsac. How do I go about finding other members close to me? (I'm new to a lot of this, so bear with me lol)

I'm new to the hobby, and my Rosea made an eggsac yesterday!

It's about 77 degrees in her tank. I've read that they sometimes eat the egg sac if you leave it with them. Do they only do that if there's problems with the eggs? And I didn't know they could make phantom sacs! lol That's interesting, why would they do that I wonder? Practice? Oh, I called the...

    Layla on her egg sac

She finally rolled it up right after she took a snack break and ate a cricket. She pulled it out this morning, let me see, then she drug it back in the cave.

I'm new to the hobby, and my Rosea made an eggsac yesterday!

I bought my Chilean rose Layla eight days ago. Buying her wasn't a spontaneous decision, I'd read up extensively on her species and care long before I decided to buy her. And she's been really awesome, and loves to come out of her cage, and never shows aggression and isn't skittish in the...

    Rose Hair Web

My Rose Hair Layla on the other hand, spins web all the time. I've only had her a week, but I've read up on the species and emerged myself into every bit of reading material I could before I bought her to make sure that she was right for me and my family. (Couldn't have asked for a better...

We ended up having him sit down with her, because she kept wanting to crawl up on his back and shoulders. She doesn't sprint, she moves very slow and careful with her footing, we just didn't want to take any chances with her falling.

She isn't skittish at all, and is doing quite well. She's never kicked furs or reared up when being held.
