Hmm, a little outdated but seeing as the facts are wrong... ;)
Yes, you can get a small snake in the UK that eats invertebrates as opposed to mice or fish. It is the (rough) green snake - Opheodrys aestivus. They usually cost around £30 if you get them from a shop, but hunt around and...
Smeringurus Mesaensis dead :(
Looked in tonight, found my male under his hide, dead as a doornail :( Stuck it in a bag in the freezer for the time being, till i can get some alcohol or resin or something to preserve it - poor thing. Hopefully one of his attempts at mating with the female...
I would assume it's down to the vibrations, mine all do it. My beardies on the other hand, dance to death metal ;) Start waving their arms and banging their heads \m/

nope, that's just what they do, especially when they are lazy. You'll find that if you go in her cage and make a disturbance, the tail will be right back up.
Anyone have any experience with these? I've been offered some, and I am SOOOO tempted, just held back by the fact I'll be breaking the law if I keep one. Still...someone please just tell me to go ahead, I love them so much!!
