Small snakes in UK pet trade

Hmm, a little outdated but seeing as the facts are wrong... ;) Yes, you can get a small snake in the UK that eats invertebrates as opposed to mice or fish. It is the (rough) green snake - Opheodrys aestivus. They usually cost around £30 if you get them from a shop, but hunt around and...

    centruroides gracilis from honduras

Sorry, don't know too much about Centruroides, or USA in general, but isn't Honduras in Mexico? If so, there may just be more deaths due to the state of the country (crappy healthcare, etc). Don't take this as gospel mind, but that's what springs to mind immediately (for someone who lives in a...

    H paudicens....

They grow outwards rather than up, if you get what I mean? It's probable that its not hungry, my paudicens has eaten a roach and nothing else in a few months. I just leave it to it.

    Lobster Roach Help!

Maybe they're just getting too old, and breeding too late? I keep my lobsters in a large 'rubbermaid' style tub, with an inch of peat for substrate, and feed them all sorts. I have had no fatalities as of yet (except for the ones that are old).

    light sensitivity

It will depend on the time of day, most probably basking to gain some heat for the night. They won't need to do this in captivity, due to carefully regulated temps, but in the wild, I expect they will fairly often. Obviously depends on the time of day the photos were taken, dusk then most...

    Is this scorpion unhealthy?

nope, that's just what they do, especially when they are lazy. You'll find that if you go in her cage and make a disturbance, the tail will be right back up.
