I dont really know too much about these critters, i'll keep browsing to learn more. What I really want is something, big-ish, colorful, affordable, and good for a beginner. Any suggestions? Millipedes and centipedes both, i'm not picky. :-)

I was wondering the same thing myself, my roaches love oranges. I read somewhere that it gives the colony kind of a collective sugar high for a day or so, and whaddya know the gravid female gave birth. Any ideas?

How do you start a colony? Just get peat moss or something and keep food and moisture in there? They're absolutely everywhere and I want to play with them. Any advice?
