Just an update..she is about the same after 6 days in ICU, but I noticed her book lungs look bigger and yellowish I post a pic but it's not a great pic. I also noticed she is constantly moving her fangs but I don't know if she is doing it only when I picked her up and she's stressed. I don't...
I guess I should clarify she can't really move on her own she seems to have very little strength. I just put her in the ICU last night she molted on 111/5 almost 20 days ago. Her normal behavior is to run and kick hairs as soon as open her enclosure but now I can pick her up and she can't...
My B. Boehmei female 4.0 molted on 11/5 and was acting fine right after the molt and I tried feeding her on the 15th and she didnt but kicked hairs. However I tried again last night and she won't eat but I noticed she was very lethargic with no strength at all, she will let me pick her right...
Pretty sure they are mites they are white little specs moving around on outside of enclosure. As for how many I have I'm guessing 200+ most are juvies or smaller. Adults maybe 20-30
They been in there for a few months now...I only fed a few of them to my Ts I'm trying to establish a colony. If they were parasitic how long do think it would take to know.
I have a Dubia colony and there are lots of mites my concern is now feeding them to my Ts and any parasitic mites getting on my Ts. I would assume if there were parasitic mites my colony would be dying off but they are fine. So should I be concerned and how do I get rid of mites.
I just fed her a super last night and checked this morning under the dirt everywhere and I didnt find anything leftover. I truly don't know where they are coming from and if I can't figure out they are coming from I dont know how to treat them.
I use the brick ecoearth for substrate. As for leftovers there are never leftovers and I have never found a bolus either so not sure where they are coming from. In the Smithi case I only saw a few. I read somewhere earlier today that it is impossible to be 100% free of mites that it is more...
I am a bit annoyed at finding mites in some of my T enclosures and need some help with a few questions I have. 1) Do they pose any risk to my Ts? 2) How do you rid rid of them? I thought that as long as the humidity was low and dry substrate you would be okay. However my B. Smithi enclosure...
I assume you don't live near a pet store like Petco or Petsmart because can get crickets there. If you don't you can go to your local baitshop for crickets and meal worms and even some Wal-Mart's sell crickets and you can use the legs for slings.
I hate that your T is going through that it really sucks. As for pulling its leg you barely tugged on the leg not sure why everyone is so bent out of shape. I read the comments before I watched the video and from the comments I assumed you had picked it up in the air by its leg and let it...
She was about 1.75 now she is 2.5 she grew a good bit with this molt. I just saw her she looks fine no damage done thank goodness because she is finally get some adult colors.
I watch pretty closely to make sure she eats them. I normally feed her 2 small ones and make sure she gets both I guess the last time although she grabbed the second one it must have got loose and borrowed. From this point forward Ill feed one at a time.
So my P. Regalis molted yesterday and now she has the beautiful yellow on her legs but I went to check on her this more and I find her eating a meal worm. I guess I had fed her one and it burrowed under the dirt and it decied to come out and she found it. I'm so worried this will kill my P...
I have the exact same container for my slings they work great. As for the LP I have a sling as well and mine is a big eater and very active and quite entertaining. I made mine a premade burrow and all she did was take dirt and fill it in which was cool to watch then she molted and decided to...
Yeah she's about 1.5-2.0 and that pic is from my phone and the glass in her enclosure is pretty dirty so that doesn't help. I have read the article before but has been awhile so I will it read again.
So looking at my pic is mine a male or female because I can't tell if that is a dot or not. To me it looks like a female in comparison to pics in that thread but I I'm confused. :)
Edit: The more I look I'm thinking male....if that is the case that sucks how long does it take them to...
