Thanks for your response. I will probably have to change out his substrate to something that isn't so prone to molding. He tends to have his face kind of in the substrate so I always think he is trying to get more water though I know they dont need much. I have also been concerned because it is...
As you can see in the attached picture I have a bit a mold problem with my B.Vagans. This has concerned me for a while now and the reason I have this buildup is because my T will not drink from a water bowl anymore. When he needs water he will sit in the moistest corner until I hydrate the area...
Hello thanks for your reply. Here is a more recent picture, in the one before the front legs were extended because I had just flipped him back on his stomach. The water was given with him flipped over but I did not want to leave him like that too long.
So as you can see unfortunately his other legs are beginning to curl in at this time, and to me it looks like there is a dulling of coloring as well. So I dont think he will make it. Maybe he will do a 180 but I'm doubtful of that. I have been putting water to his mouth area but that does not...
Here is another picture, where you can see some or the hind leg is facing inward
On the other side however the leg is not in this position, which it was yesterday IIRC.
This seems to be the case, although the abdomen seems very healthy to me, the hind legs do not seem to be operating well and are curled underneath the abdomen. One looks like it is straightening up though. I filled the bowl and placed him close to drink but he moved away, so it may be that he...
My thoughts exactly about the food haha. I was intending to up the enclosure size after the molt but I will take your advice ! When he/she peps up I will look into one.
Yeah, the dish dries pretty quickly, even if I clean it unfortunately. I added more water and it seems to be perking up now!
Thanks! I am not sure. You may be correct on that as he/she has not eaten in a few months. I dont really move my Ts much at all so I dont know if they level or...
My A. Geniculata hasn't eaten for a few months. This hasn't really worried me because it remains very plump from its last meal. I am starting to get worried though because it seems like its legs have recently become very weak. For a few days it was on the enclosure wall, and when it finally...
@MrGhostMantis only had mine for a year. Has probably more than doubled his size. He has been pretty chill since I've had him. Very little upkeep too. I usually water and feed once a week if not in premolt. I suggest the Brachypelma Vagans husbandry notes video on YouTube by Tom Moran
