    How to lure/catch escaped tarantula.

They can literally go anywhere. Id start with the room it was lost in. Turn all lights of, once every hr go in and turn light on and look around. More likely to come out in the dark. I hear lots of people find them in their laundry. So many dark crevices in the clothes. But again it could be...

    Temperament 2

Yeah ive owned both, handled both, etc... and Avics are more laid back generally. C cyaneopubescens generally are more flighty, and skittish. Avics tend to jump more being arboreal, GBBs tend to just take off or theyll hold their ground and kick hairs.

I feel sorry for the people who bought "rare" species of Aphonopelma just to find out from the new taxonomic revision that they are actually a common species.

    AVIC DEATH SYNDROME????

Yeah sorry to hear. Avic slings do that and no one really knows exactly why they aren't the easiest slings to keep. A lot of ventilation seems to work for me. I add more for Avics than I normally do for other genus of Ts. Sounds like you couldn't have done anything differently for the most part.

Is this mold under my sling?

Probably is poop. One of my Avics has poop on it right now :( if you look at it you should be able to tell if it looks like dried poop or mold. If its mold it will look fuzzy kind of like a piece of a cotton ball.
