Hello friends,
I was away from home for 3 days and after that I found my big female blondi dead over the water dish. She was recently molted(before a mount) and visually no problems, except one curved rear leg at the tip. Before a week she ate a superworm because of lack of bigger food. Last...
Hello again, some update... Today i see signs of upcomming molt. She is much darker. Its a bit strange. Last cricket she ate was before a month. Its not common for that size. Last time and before that she molted after 3 monts of diet. Other strange think is that she quit webbing "bed" and last...
Thank you John,
I know my blondi very well. I don't think this is some kind of calmness or so. She was very nervous before, when I do some cleaning around her. Very aggressive and prone to bite. Always! Nothing has changed in conditions, except the higher temps, but it was always this hot at...
Everything looks normal except her movement. She is not so fat and that is her lungs on the bottom of the abdomen. I have her from long time and know if something is wrong. Spraying and crikets are not big problem. I'm worried about the lack of strenght. Newer seen her that helpless, except when...
Hello,
Today I saw my 9" female blondi with gathered legs to her abdomen and with strange bent tips. I spreyed her but not much of movement there. After touching her with a pincers she moves very very slow and crawled few inches. It looks very weak.
The temp in my room is very high - 30C 86F...
Its almost 6 y.o. around 11-12k I'm almost sure its female, but never have the opportunity to sex it from spermathecae. It was always keept in 20 C, so not a fast growner. around 6" legspan.
Hey there, to bad to hear about so many bad blondi's molts...
I have a big female 9". Got this problem several times. First bad molt was before 5 years. My thread here: http://www.arachnoboards.com/ab/showthread.php?t=58710
After that I got this freaking progress:
1st molt after this -...
Will figure it out somehow. I have little experience with previous problem with her fangs, and know how to feed her. This time fangs are even shorter then first time, when she had bad molt. Can't understand why is this happening. She has 2 successful molts after the bad one and she recovered her...
Its fat, but previous molt was before 9 monts. Dont think she will make it whitout eating. By now she is doing fine, stretching her legs and changing her positions. After 1 more day will guide her to the watter dish. She was learned her lesson before when she had no fangs. When I touch her legs...
After 2 successful molts she is again fangless :( I'm not 100% sure, because she has molted yestarday night and as far as I can see, there is less then half the fangs left from them. Its her 13th molt and old skin is almost 8" from left rear and front legs. This time I dont have explanation why...
Hm, my blondi is okay for now. Has 2 molts after the bad one and now there are no signs of problems. Fangs are again at full lenght after 2 molts. After the first one, they were shorter and thicker. Now there are about 1/2" and soon she will molt again. Hope everything goes whitout problems...
Hello everybody. I have few question about my superworm colony.
1. How can I guess who is male and who is female except when I see them mating?
2. I know thet females are much larger, but if I take one big fat worm and it morph in to beatle, is it female for sure? By now I've separated not so...
Hello from Bulgaria.
I have the folowing question: Before 10 days I realised, that I have very small brown moving dots all around my box with superworms and on the floor of my bathroom where is moist. I have also from the white acarids by the superworms. They are not so big problem for me, but...
Can somebody tell me do eggs of superworms beatles need moisture t o hatch? I've lots of mites when the humidity of the substrate is wet. I think eggs can dry adn thats why I spray watter. And another question. Are beatles big problem for the young superworms if they have enough food?
My female Pulchra molted 10 days ago. Yestarday she ate superworm. Today I saw her on her back with opened fangs. Dont know the reason, but I'm scared. I sprayed several drops of whater and she turned back on her legs and tried to run anywhere in the tank.
Any idea for that behavour...
I've got the folowing question. Has size of the superworm something elese with the sex of the beatle? Female beatles are larger then males. When I separete medium size superworms, they morph into pupas, then into beatles. But they are almost all small ones. Is this means they are all males? If...
