She burrowed herself (not 100% on sex yet) a few weeks before molting. But now it has been a few more weeks since she's burrowed and I'd assume they'd do whats best but I never had this species before andnI'm getting a little nervous because I can see the molt thru the little window she made for...
I remember seeing a video of a guy (not sure who) who had been tagged by severely species - he was showing his newly acquired bite marks and as he scanned his arm he had to point out which pair were from the species he was talking about as he had many bite marks up his arm. Either he is very un...
Of course when they're smaller it takes a only a few hours where an older T can take a few days - i don't know if there is any difference between species or just any T given its conditions and many other factors, im sure.
You should definitely get that cricket out of there before she does molt - they will eat away at your molting T and injure them - they're in a very vulnerable, fragile state when molting. Congrats and picking up some new babies! Always exciting!
My avic never uses her water dish either - i just mist her cage every other day and when i first got her about 5 months ago she wouldnt eat for the first 2 months - still hasn't molted yet - she's a quick little bugger too. Every time I bring her out she likes go to for a run. Freaks my...
So if anyone knows where I might be able to find another B. baumgarteni preferably female - i would love to have another around - i just hope the personality is relatively the same. She was so sweet.

She was already dead at that point and...
It was potting soil - the pet stores around here don't carry eco earth but i did finally pick some up the other day at a different shop. Same place i finally found live pinkies at for the snake. They carry a lot of neat things there for your animals and animals as well; unfortunately no T's...
I just put her in ICU - a deli cup with a little bit of water and her tilting slightly toward it; enough where she isnt directly in the water to drown but enough where its infront of her if she needs it. She didn't move at all while i put her in there and i swear i saw some hemolymph while i...
I touched her lightly with my tongs and she didn't budge. I just bought crocodile geckos on friday and one passed on me over the night - both real skinny; so having 2 critters pass on me over the weekend my heart is just aching right now. I had their set up done the way it should be - temp and...
Her carapace is orange around the edge and dark in the middle - the guy that sold it to me said B.boehmi then B.emilia but now that I see pics of the B.baumgarteni that's def. looks most like her. Yea my others seemed to have been stretched out right afterwards or even active - so this gave me a...
Oh yea - in the corner of her tank she has a nice water dish i filled to the brim when i saw she was about to molt. I've never seen my other T's do this - it scared the crap out of me. I'll move the water dish closer to her so she doesn't have to stress the walk with her current condition. I...
She just molted yesterday and ever since coming out she's been in this same curled up position - the only way she moves her legs are like those T's i've seen in the DKS videos - im freaking out - only had her a month; love this little girl to death!
Where do I find pinkie mice for my baby snake? Idk if we can only get them frozen which he refuses to eat. Are there ppl on the boards that sell them - I'll continue to wander the boards but couldn't seem to find any so far. . .
