Awesome :)
So if I was to ever use a whole brick, what kind of container(s) would be used to hold 8L of substrate?
Thank you for your fast answer :) I was just thinking if I added too much water it would be too watery and be useless.

I would but I don't have anywhere to keep 8L of substrate unfortunately... :)
Hello everybody :)
I know this is a silly and obvious question, just add water, but there's more.
A little over a year ago I bought a baby B. smithi, and thinking within a few weeks or so it would be full size, I bought a few bricks of this (not that specific auction) -...
Oh i see :) The pebble is a good idea, wouldn't want it to drown lol :)

Cool. I just tend to drop a few drops of water on the substrate every few days or so :) Seems to be working OK for now :D
Thank you very much, i'm happy too :) Is it big enough for a bottle cap water yet? It's still smaller than a 5p coin :/
Also, i managed to get a decent image of it today, a nice close up:

UPDATE :)
I looked about 10 minutes ago and it looked like it was pretty much coming off, so i gently pulled it with tweezers and it came off :)
Molt/skin on it's own off the tarantula:

Spider looking all fresh now the molt/skin has gone:

OK then, cheers pal. I think i'll leave it until morning, that gentle tug i already gave the skin might have loosened it and it might drop off by itself in the morning.
Thanks.

Thank you very much :D I will be sure to let you know :D
My tiny baby B. smithi molted for the first time, but i looked a few days ago and it was stuck to it's back. I wouldn't usually like to disturb it while molting but it's been 3 days now and the molt/skin is still stuck to it's back.
Here's a picture of it (sorry if it's not the best quality)...
I've thought about doing this. Only a few have turned into Beetles so far and they were in a separate container for about a month, i added water and a Potato slice for moisture like i did for the mealworms and a month has passed and nothing...
No baby mealworms or anything... :(
Oh, OK awesome :) His abdomen looks to be fine, although it was small the last time he ate about 7 weeks ago. So that's proof that you're right, it's mad how long they can go without food haha :D
My very small B. smithi hasn't eaten in like a month. All my mealworms are like 1.5cm onwards, i can't get any smaller. I've looked on eBay but the smallest are like 1.5cm. The spider itself is only around 1.2cm DLS, so it's still very tiny!
In the past i've put a mealworm of about 1cm in...
Looks very nice indeed :) You should get it a hide, like this one - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Half-Coconut-reptile-hide-/171036459719?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Reptiles_Spiders_Insects&hash=item27d29142c7
