    Kitten question

Kittens like to play with people who aren't in their face TRYING to play with them. Cats are aloof critters. If you ignore it, you have just made a friend for life. Sorry.

    Kitten advice

Maybe try mixing some of the kitten milk from the store with some dry kitten food and microwaving it so she can smell it. It was the only way I got my kittens to eat. NEVER give a kitten dog food. It is a really, really bad idea. It doesn't have the nutrients she needs to keep healthy eye sight.

Sexing a G. rosea in a weird way?

Sounds like a wives tale to me. Males eat their prey in just the same way as females. Some do the "Happy Cricket Butt Wiggle" and some don't. It's different spider to spider. Not between the sexes.

    Which T tops the list?

I'm going to say Pokies. They are deffensive, quick, have nasty venom, and have very particular environmental needs.

    Did something go wrong?

Whoa, no reason to be rude. The fangs could have deformed in the molt, it is possible. But you won't know for sure until she is completely dried and hardened. If they were deformed in the molt, unfortunately, there isn't much you can do about it. It's just a waiting game at this point.

Compared to other Ts you have how defensive is your OBT?

My Biggest Girl, Sally, was over 5" and would throw a threat posture if you even got near to the opening of the tank and would strike even the forceps used to remove food boluses.

    new here

Welcome!! Most Ts are "pet rocks." They don't really do alot of moving around. Once he is settled in, he might do some interesting webbing and things. But don't expect him to be doing laps around the cage! :D

    Tiny Sling

Once a week is about average. Just be sure to remove the cricket within a day or so if your T doesn't eat it.

    Handling help

I'm another fan of large open areas. And putting their enclosure on the ground helps, too. A paint brush to gently brush their hind legs with to get them moving is the easiest way I have found. Good luck and have fun.

    Need help with molt!

For future reference, using a wet paintbrush to gently slough it off works well.
