This is my Grammostola iheringi. I've only had him for about a month and he has not molted in my care. He has eaten a few large dubia nymphs with no visible difficulty. He behaves pretty normally for a T. His enclosure is obviously dry as a bone.
So can anyone enlighten me? Not come across...
Hey everyone I'm currently in the process of buying a T from someone who thinks their T is male, but I'm convinced its female. Just want to make sure I'm not going mad so could you give me some feedback that would be great.
I did post in the sexing gallery but I never get replies, so I do...
Yeah I would only ever use them in tanks with Ts that don't web, such as H. gigas, which I have at the moment.

I'm currently raising venus flytraps, they take soooooo long to grow! lol
I lost my G. rosea 2cm sling through a large ventilation hole. I found it 6 months later in a death curl by the skirting board, which happened to be below where its enclosure used to be. So in all that time it didn't travel far. Felt so bad though :/ Hope you find your little balfouri :)
They like it bone dry. My female hasn't burrowed yet but she webs up the pre-dug burrow I started for her, eats very well. For a baboon sp. I will agree that these are more tolerant than most, of course individuals vary. For example when I move her enclosure she doesn't run a mile, but when I...
Sometime in the future when I have more space I would love to have some live plants in my T enclosures. I've looked up care requirements for certain plant genera such as Hypoestes (Polka dot plant) which like humid conditions and not too much light. Has anyone used this type of plant in T...
Phew! That's mainly what I was worried about. This one flew up onto my curtains, thought it was a huge moth at first, so I think they can propell themselves with their wings but not categorically fly.
Never been so scared in my life to see a male dubia climbing up my curtains at 2am :S managed to catch him but so paranoid now about how it got out.
Earlier today before this happened I opened the dubia bin because all the males were running round going crazy. Why is this? They were so loud...
Nah you're not giving bad info, it's all the right info.. which makes it harder for me to decide what to do with them! Lol, why does my conscience have to kick in all of a sudden. I think it's because they're quite pretty and large enough to have 'faces' lol. Everyone must think I'm stupid haha.
I recently started a B. dubia roach colony as an alternative for crickets. I went to feed the Ts with some for the first time today, as I watched a male roach getting devoured and slowly dying... I felt like crap!!
I think I like them?! I don't know what to do with them now! I can't bring...
My room is normally kept around 75 - 80F, so maybe overcrowding won't be a problem? And my Ts range from 1st instar to 6" DLS.
Thanks for your advice! Deffo made my mind up about this haha, sorry mum...
