Get some ant poison and put it outside of the cage. The ants will start eating that and then you just wait. I would do the petroleum jelly or vaseline just in case.
I would do it. They breed fast. I know a lot about isopods, so feel free to ask me anything about them. By the way, Oniscus are not usually eaten. The ones you have are probably A.vulgare.
If you don't want them to be eaten, try some Oniscus asellus. They have little spines on the outside, so they will not be eaten.
