Why does a Female cost less than a Male Gigas?

As far as temperature, I kept them indoors at room temperature year round. I'm in southern California and never used any extra heat. Ageless, still I am.

Why does a Female cost less than a Male Gigas?

I have bred them in the past, sadly I don't have any right now. I kept them in a substrate similar to Dynastes grubs. Organic potting soil mixed with decaying and dry oak leaves as well as occasional pieces of decaying oak branches. Never mixed calcium powder in it, when I get them again I will...

Isopods as big as Oranges in the Tarantula Keeper's Guide?

I have kept them too, from Tanzania if I remember correctly. Tried different setups and they all met the same fate, dead quickly and no offsprings. Such a shame because they are indeed interesting remarkable creatures. Luis Ageless, still I am.

    bummer...

How about telling both sides of the story? You forgot to mention how he bought a OBT from you, paid for Express shipping and you conveniently "forgot" and sent it Priority. Sure, you replaced the dead tarantula after he had to wait around for you: "let me breed my male first and then I'll...

    Suger Gliders anyone keep them??

I wish I could keep this guys but EVERYTHING seems to be illegal in CA. I have seen them in NV for around $250 each. Here even though they are illegal you could still find them once in a while in the classifieds for sale. Anywhere from $100 to $300 each. Depending on how fast they want to...

I use a mixture of peat moss and rotten wood 20% - 80%. I cover it all with decayed oak leaves. They go nuts. They eat their substrate as well as bury in it.

What to feed N. americanus millipedes??

Hi I feed mine squash. They go NUTS for squash. Butternut squash is even better. They eat cucumber as well but cucumber decomposes really fast so you have to remove it in a day tops. They like fish flakes, zuchinni and I have even given them romanie lettuce when I have nothing else to give...
