    What are these little guys

Thanks for the replies. I've been out of commission with a migraine so I couldn't post more pictures. If I find another I'll post some more. They seem to have disappeared

    What are these little guys

I have several of these little things running around. my first thought was ant alates, but they don't move like ants. They are a few millimeters in length, can't fly very well, are kind of jerky moving, and have antenna similar to small wasps. I'm in michigan, anyone know what these are?

    Walking sticks

Hmm, alright. Thanks That's something to keep in mind. If I had something readily available to feed them I might try it.

    Walking sticks

Anyone keep Megaphasma denticrus and/or Diapheromera femorata? These seem to be the two wild walking stick species in Michigan and I am trying to figure out how I would go about getting some. Also, after looking these two up it seems that they eat foliage that is all wild. Anyone have any luck...

Would a pet snake or tarantula be better?

I have four sand boas, and I have to say that one of them is actually very active. The biggest one, which is a regular colored female, is around 250 grams (so pretty much adult size) and runs around the tank all the time. She has plenty of everything, but still does it. The smallest is a regular...

Trying to get cave crickets or other crickets

I was not aware that there was an invasive camel cricket that was that big of an issue. Better not get a hold of that one. I just want the USA native cave cricket as breeding and keeping an invasive animal is probably not a good idea ;)

Trying to get cave crickets or other crickets

Hi everyone :) I know it may sound strange to some people, but I am trying to get a hold of cave/camel crickets. I am in the certain part of Michigan where you cannot find them or at least it seems that way. So anyone know where to get some? Double ds used to carry them (it's a insect...

    no-id millipedes from reptile show

Both ;) If you are wanting to handle get millipedes. Really I guess it comes down to personal taste and what you are comfortable with. I don't have very much experience with pedes so I can't help you very much, sorry.

Box Turtle Diet and Calcium Powder

Hi everyone :) My grandparents took a trip to MO and are bringing me back a box turtle that is not wanted by its owner any more apparently. I am setting up a nice (what I think to be 45 gallon) tote for it with a basking light and UVB/UVA light and everything but I have ran into a...

Is this heater too warm for my pictus geckos?

Sorry for the very delayed reply. It has been resolved :) While at a reptile show someone there recommended a plug in dimmer like used with lamps. We went and bought one and that worked perfectly. Thanks :)

Is this heater too warm for my pictus geckos?

Hi everyone :) I am the proud new owner of a male and two female pictus geckos, but I have ran into a problem possibly. The under tank heater I have may be too warm. I put a non-electric thermometer on top of where it is and it is reading 100 degrees F. From what I understand in the 80s is...

    Mites have overtaken the tanks

Hi everyone Well sorry to say but I have a mite issue now that I bought millipedes... I have been trying to replace the millipedes fruit once it starts getting bad, but the mites are infesting it before its in the tank for an hour now. There are the kind of large (well for a mite anyways)...

    Millipede substrate for breeding

Very cool everyone :) Thanks :) 3Skulls, use whatever you need first then worry about what to send me. It won't hurt my millipedes to wait a while, they don't seem to mind. I had them all out for my cousin today, my mom watches her (she is four years old) she ended up holding some of the...

    Millipede substrate for breeding

It rather difficult for me to get wood but I can get some. What types of trees would work? I have some birch right now if that would work. I am guessing it won't, but would pine work?

    Scarlet Millipeds

I am new to millipedes, so I cannot answer you question from experience. But my friend (Roach Crossing/Kyle) breeds them and I have heard that they breed rather readily.

    Millipede substrate for breeding

Hi everyone :) I am rather new to millipedes, I am hoping to breed my new ivory, scarlet, and no-id millipedes but I am wondering what types of things should be in the substrate. I bought some leaf litter from the reptile show, multiple different types of leafs and some other organic...
