Sculpey is great and safe, acrylic paints are too. I also use perler beads which are fish and animal safe.
Usually food safe means animal safe unless its fish as food safe means doesn't have a porous material to harbor bacteria which is obviously preferred in aquatic setups.

Im sorry you lost your little buddy! Slings are harder than adults i feel, i had a tiny fireleg sling i lost bc i got sick for too long and he dried out.
I was crushed. They are such silly creatures that i definitely consider mine pets.
I didn't even know they dropped legs until yesterday when i was researching this!
This explains so many 6 legged spiders i find in my yard!
Lol that's how my friends gbb webbed: thick and to the lid ^_^
Thanks for the input, we've definitely been conparing.
My first was a 2" g pulchripes sling :) he was amazing! I interacted with him and he was definitely very handleable (he was a lightbox favorite of mine.)
He was gorgeous! If i can find pics that arent locked on either a dead phone or dead laptop lol ill post.
They are definitely slow growers...

My male g pulchripes hooked out and left for breeding last year. He wasn't successful but i got 3 g pulchripes slings anyways!

My false widow is a great little webber and she doesnt care that her anchors are old fish plants Haha
Ive got a 3d mario castle hide I'll put in...
Haven't had this girl for long but was taking photos and realized she may have a leg injury!
I know she'll molt it out but any thoughts are useful :) i crush the heads of the supers so I'm not sure how she got it.
First pic is closeup. Second I'll admit is just because she's so gorgeous ^_^.
