    Poorly Pamphobeteus sp Machalla :(

Thanks, she's one of my favourites. She's still alive and on her back after 3 days and no sign of moulting. :(

P sp Machalla On Back In ICU But Not Moulting

Hi guys, This is an extension to this thread as I really don't know what to do. (Mods can delete this if you think I'm being excessive). On 19 May I had to put my P sp Machalla (2.5 inch suspect female) in an ICU as she was unresponsive 3 weeks after moulting and had been falling over...

    Poorly Pamphobeteus sp Machalla :(

Still On Back?! She's still on her back after over 24 hours. I'm not sure what to do... Do I flip her back over? Do I water her? Her feet and the underside of her belly aren't getting wet at all because she's on her back and I'm afraid of the ICU either drying out or going mouldy...

    Poorly Pamphobeteus sp Machalla :(

Thbks Tarac. I've just woken up and checked on her, she's still on her back moving her legs slightly but has not moulted and has not made any progress so far if she is trying to moult. Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e using Tapatalk 2

    Poorly Pamphobeteus sp Machalla :(

Thanks EightLeggedFreaks :) EMERGENCY UPDATE: I've just checked on her and she's on her back! I'm going out on a limb and assuming she's moulting but it's only been three weeks since her last moult. Is this possible or has she fallen over? I'm leaving her well alone until tomorrow at least so...

    Poorly Pamphobeteus sp Machalla :(

Update: I've had to put her in an ICU as she was unresponsive and looked like she was starting to curl. She fell on her back from about an inch high during the transfer as I was shaking. I feel so stupid :( I hope she'll be okay :( Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e using...

    Poorly Pamphobeteus sp Machalla :(

This is why I haven't put her in one yet, as she still moves and reacts (albeit slowly). I've put a waterdish in there and taken out the prekilled beetle as she didn't touch it. She's been like this since she moulted. She didn't really move much a week after but the past 2 weeks she's been...

    Poorly Pamphobeteus sp Machalla :(

I can't upload one right now, or put her in an ICU until tomorrow :( there's no chance of pesticides and our feeders are shop bought... No other Ts have this problem. She did take a while to flip after she moulted. I'll get a picture up tomorrow. Thanks guys. EDIT: Here's a picture but I can't...

    Poorly Pamphobeteus sp Machalla :(

Hi guys, My 2.5 inch P sp Machalla moulted 3 weeks ago and she hasn't eaten at all, she struggles to move and falls over a lot when she tries to walk (her legs also look contorted). Her abdomen is small but doesn't look shriveled. I keep the substrate (coco fibre) quite moist as I know they...

    Ever feel overwhelmed

My doc thinks I have fibromyalgia so it's tough when I have flare-ups to bend down to feed and water them (I have 18). :mask: I don't feel "overwhelmed" per se but it can be tricky sometimes. I hope your back heals soon :)

    Asbestos Tarantula?

I think it's a load bull-kaka to be honest. The press over here are absolutely rubbish and it is rather amusing that some people are actually believing this story... *sigh* Oh well, papers will be papers :sarcasm:

A few questions about my spiderling

Listen to Pikaia, buy his book and trawl this website. They are all invaluable sources of information :) I'm still learning all the time after a year :) Enjoy your G pulchripes, I've always wanted one :)

    Rehouse after molt?

1-2 weeks depending on the size. How big is it and do you have pictures of the current enclosure? Also I wouldn't worry about stress, I think they have it worse off in the wild with predators etc.

    T. blondi - good deal?

I concur. Most people cannot tell the difference between a T blondi and a T stirmi without a careful examination so I highly doubt an LPS could. I would buy from a reputable breeder who knows what they're talking about and feeds their spiders the appropriate prey.

    Asbestos Tarantula?

I found this news article about a tarantula moult found in a house in Wales and the T in question is now feared to be asbestos ridden: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/arachnophobes-look-away-now-could-an-asbestos-contaminated-tarantula-be-on-the-loose-in-cardiff-8544532.html

I'd say P striata. I hardly heard anything about these guys so a couple of weeks ago I got myself a juvie and I'm not disappointed, they look really nice

Scariest Moment With An Agressive Tarantula

Well, I had to remake her hide today and when I was trying to move her into catch box she took exception and ended up on the bottom of my foot :/ my better half after much panicking from us both managed to scoop her into the box without me getting tagged. I'm still shaking now :banghead:

Scariest Moment With An Agressive Tarantula

My female 4 inch A genic is very feisty and has major feeding response (is this the right term? I'm a bit brain dead at the moment) I'm always nervous when I have to open her box as she thinks everything is food... :sarcasm: I'm dreading having to move her into a new enclosure :O_o:

    Interior Decorating

I'll see if it does it again and then add more substrate if so. I'll keep you updated if it does it again and see if I film it :) They are very fascinating creatures indeed
