I love these guys, I have one and it is so pretty. Mine doesn't grow fast though, maybe an inch in the year I've had it.

My rule of thumb is, if it doesn't smell dead it ain't, so it's probably fine. Maybe I would poke a hole after 6 months or so, but I'm stupid patient.

Well it's nice to know my care has been spot on. I would like another but I never see them for sale, is here anywhere to get them? I got mine as a .5" sling and a year later he/she is about 1.5". Very pretty already.

I have had one of these for the last year and I have never been able to find much information on them. I would like to know everything about them, if you guys could point me in the right direction that would be awesome. It has an amazing appetite, and loves to kick hairs.

I can just put more substrate in the tank she is in. She also hasn't eaten in the 6 months I've had her, she still has a very healthy fat butt, she's just on strike. I figure she'll molt eventually and then probably burrow, makes sense that they wouldn't want to do it pre molt.

I have about 7 inches of substrate, she has not molted yet, I've had her 6 months, and she is absolutely a mature female.

Well she kind of started one and then just left it. I figure she's lazy (except for the fact that she is evil and possibly possessed by the devil and fast as heck.)

My H. lividum has been in its tank for months and no burrow yet. She just sits in her hide instead. Is she mentally challenged?
