Typically the tiny mealworms have gotten them through a few feedings before I can introduce something else and the spiderling has grown considerably. My local pet shop doesn’t carry pin heads or fruit flys and a lot of my spiderling refuse to eat “cricket chunks”.

Some people due use prekilled crickets and just offer a small piece at a time. I purchase mealworms and place them in a Tupperware container half filled with oats. Within a few weeks I dig around and usually find a few really small baby mealworms and use them.
