That's not Aphonopelma seemanni. The feet look suspiciously Grammostola sp. Concepcion, as do the markings, but I don't see a mirror patch. Does she have a reflective patch on her abdomen?

Not Grammostola, looks to be Acanthoscurria sp (many Acanthoscurria species look like this which is why I won't commit to one species).

Acanthoscurria species - which one is impossible to say without collection data as there are looooads of brown non-descript Acantho species xx

Doesn't look minatrix to me. Lots of avic sp. have these patterns as juvies.

Not albopilosum or LP. Does it have a mirror patch on its abdomen?

Looks male to me - no spermathecae, "belly button" around the epigastric region, possible accessory organs.

    What could have happened..

I don't use a waterbowl for any tiny slings, firstly it's dofficult to find one small enough to be safe and secondly they drink fine from the substrate. Looking at the substrate it doesn't look dessicated. I suspect another cause but working out what is was is impossible. Remember some slings...

    Brachypelma Boehmei sex?

LOL crazy thought here but surely a moult would've been the best and most accurate time to check......from the exuvium!

Finally got the go ahead from my wife

A thing to be wary of is that when G. pulchra ģet big (so in your retirement lol) they often aren't the 'kitten spiders' people see them as as juvies. Like other Grammostola species (my psychotic huge female pulchripes included), attaining adulthood in females (not seen this happen in males)...

For Once, Mislabeling is a GOOD thing

No mirror patch so not Grammostola. Impossible to say but my guess is Phormictopus sp. from the carapace?

[Inquiry] Online tarantula stores in UK??

Wonder if they knew of your history. One risk of selling online I suppose, hoarders and animal abusers can easily get pets. Thanks for never asking about the snakes I fostered and rehomed for you by the way, they suffered immensely at your hands. RIP to the many who didn't make it because of...

    Any other arachnophobes?

Did the G. porteri you had when your animals were seized by the RSPCA not help? ---------- Post added 06-03-2014 at 09:19 AM ---------- At the time her reptiles and dog were seized by the RSPCA she had a rosie, no idea why she pretends it never existed. Wonder what happened to the poor...

Brachypelma species comparison - 'red rumps'

Don't for a second think that moulting so differently like she has makes a vagans, most don't look like her before she moulted. ALL my other vagans have been black with red highlights all along too. Some have had a paler carapace up to an inch or two, some haven't. Stuart Longhorn was telling...

Brachypelma species comparison - 'red rumps'

Well yes, we know that, but I was explaining the "it must be even though I have no proof and have changed the story" mindset. Skippydude, spermathecae are a nightmare in Brachypelma sp. as so many are similar. She certainly surprised me moulting into a red rump though as she had no hint of it...
