i fed a T for the first time today!!! it was pretty awesome to watch. i fed him 4 fruit flies he's one month old and went after them as soon as they were put in his enclosure so I'm guessing thats a good sign. i was reading that avic slings die sometimes for no reason so I've been a little...
yay! yeah thats where i got my baby. one of the guys let me hold their adult versi and thats what got me to get this little guy. i was originally going to wait for greenbottl blues to come in but after holding her i knew these were the way to go.
yeah I've been holding mine and the little bugger is fast! i think its kinda crazy that i love a spider but i do. i also have a chameleon and i know they get stressed out if you handle them too much ...is it the same with versis? i really enjoy holding him but if its not good for them ill bring...
eeek i have yet to experience my first molt. what do i look for? i heard they're less active and don't eat. how long does it take for them to fully molt?
I don't think my little friend seems to mind the handling which makes ne happy. I figured since he's young I'm going to try and get him used to the idea of being held. I keep saying he like its a boy but I'm not really sure. He's about a month old this is too young to sex correct? And if so at...
he came in a little 2 inch container with peat moss in it. i was told to leave him in that container for about another month before switching him to something bigger. he's about a half inch. is it bad to handle them? are they easily stressed?
ok so i finally got my first tarantula which is a versicolor. he's a sling about the size of a dime. i handled him for about a minute and put him back. i need to know what aggressive behavior is like and everything you feel you should share about them please. hell be fine in room temperature...
ugghhh now i don't know which one i want. my space permits only one tarantula boooo! i really like the avicularia versicolor a lot but i took a look at the greenbottles again and now i don't know. oh decisions decisions!
both your spiders are neato torpedo! so speak to me about their colors. do males and females colors differ? how long does it take for their coloration to form? color and being able to handle is what I'm looking for. can these guys be handled? what other tarantulas have colors that burst?
When I searched it like he said it came up as Pamphobeteus platyomma. I've done alot of research on the general care and I'm pretty sure I've got a good idea on their care so if you think it'll be a good beginner I think I might get one. I at one point wanted a greenbottle but I find the...
i saw pictures of these guys but can't really find too much info on them. this will be my first T so i would love some input on these guys and if it is a good or bad idea to make it my first T. if its not such a good idea i saw ecuadorian purples which are pretty awesome as well but i read these...
Darn I was afraid of hearing that. I originally was thinking of the 12x12x12 but then I saw that bad boy online and I was like a kid at a candy store for a second. Oh well maybe one say I'll own a pet that will be happily housed in the Sri Lanka kit.
I think this setup is pretty bad a** And would love to own it. Question though is it going to be too big for greenbottle blue? http://www.petco.com/product/116645/Exo-Terra-Sri-Lanka-Reptile-Terrarium-Kit.aspx?CoreCat=RepAmpFC_Habitats
