Wow those tanks are gorgeous and I know this one is also going to look amazing. The display will look great I'm sure with a multi-colored T. Do you know when you will put the T in?
Yup the two I've been to have been painful for me. Looking at all those snakes and other amazing animals and having to turn to tarantulas (interesting things, but I would choose a snake over them in a second).
I want to wish everyone a Happy Father's Day, even if you aren't a father. :)
Space issues. :P I live in an apartment shared with family. Anyway, I don't like fish much, and the T's I can get are pretty boring. If I could get OW T's I would keep them, but I have cats and no perfectly secure place for T's.
I don't mind feeding live. I actually can imagine I would hate feeding f/t because they're dead. The only problem is finding live pinkies... I guess I could buy a mouse pair to breed. Or get a pregnant mouse and return her. Goodbye fish! (they're taking up a 5 gallon tank)
Edit:
I don't really...
Thanks! Yeah, just started research yesterday and they look great for a first snake. But now I remember Childrens pythons which are really cool too and only need a bit more space. They are more expensive though... I guess I'll go to the expo and see what they have. I think a kenyan would be...
They are the coolest snakes ever and I hope to get one soon. I'm wondering who keeps them on here and how you like them. Also, a good place to buy a young ksb. I'm thinking either:
Jason's Jungle: http://www.jasons-jungle.com/available-sandboas.html
or
BHB reptiles...
I have 2 in a small acrylic container with 1/2 in of damp vermiculite for almost 2 weeks with a piece of carrot and a molded lid of oatmeal and fish food. It's VERY humid, no vents and the smaller one molted. :D I don't plan on feeding these off, I haven't opened the lid for 1 week and can't...
Congrats! They are really gorgeous! Ok, dumb question but what species of snake are these? Sorry, the only snakes i have ever seen for longer than 30 secs (expos) are 2 garter snakes and a ball python. :)
That is amazingly cool! It really looks like a worm, except the size and the head.
In the country I found two garter snakes (I think that's what they are, found in the Catskills) and actually caught one! I wish I could have a snake (or a dozen) but the ones I like (ball python mainly) need too...
Use several shallow pans and it the chlorine will evaporate faster. It doesn't get rid of chloramine (i think) so you should probably get a frog safe dechlorinator from the petstore. Post pics? I've never seen a bullfrog, or bullfrog tadpole.
Hehe I know they're not teeth. :P chelicera? Lol
Awesome!! I'll buy/take one (are you selling them or giving away?) when they're a shippable size please. :) Any pics?
I found a jumper at my friends country house in a potted dogwood, but I couldn't catch it and it left. :( it was adorable! It had green "teeth", mostly black, tiny, and had an orange pattern on its back. Found in the Catskills. Any idea of the species?
