I got this Aphonopelma Michoacán last Sunday. I was told it was CB. I did see the underside on Monday and fed the T. Tuesday it burrowed all day. On Wednesday I saw this. I was told it was nematodes by another keeper. Were they correct. I’ve never seen this before. Does anyone what this is?
A few weeks ago I rearranged my T cages and moved them to a new shelf that I also have my Crested Gecko on. On the top shelf I placed my B.Auratum and my female Aphonopelma Anax. In between them i placed my gecko tank. I have cardboard on each side of the gecko's tank so he can't see the Ts. I...
I have 5 anax and 1 hentzi. To me the anax is darker black and the hentzi is brown. I stopped a long time ago trying to figure out what are the differences beside the colors and if they are two different species or if they are the same species.
The majority of the T's I have are all Aphonopemas. I keep all of the at room temperature. I have a a juvenile hentzi which I provided a hide for but it always buries it and chooses to stay out in the open. This is the only T that is an Aphonopelma that does it all my others use their hide. I...
I have had her for about three years. This an older picture of her. She is a little bit bigger now. Sorry to hear you had have to wait to get yours. She was my second T that I got. I would also like to welcome you to the hobby.
I might be getting a new shelf in a few days. Currently I keep my Crested gecko on a table and across the room I keep my tarantulas and a couple of scorpoins. My question is would it be a problem to put the T's and gecko on the same shelf?
I have been a Crested Gecko owner for just over a month. The one I got was an adult. I started with Repashy which he ate with no problem. I wanted to offer him a variety of food so I alternated with Pangea. When I went back to Repashy he did not seem as interested so now I am just sticking to...
Agree with spidermonkey79. There are some Aphonopelmas with beautiful colors. I have 2 moderatums, 1 hentzi, 5 anax and hope to get a few more in the future. I started collecting Aphonopelmas last year and not once has any of them refused a meal. I am partial to Aphonopelmas because of the area...
Never heard of using cinnamon. Thanks for the info. I could probally make a moat using a baking pan by filling it with water and the placing the cage in the middle.
