Not too sure about your millipedes but for live plants I use golden pothos for my T's. You can buy them from home base, really easy to care for too they are usually labeled as scindapsus. :geek:
The humidity etc is fine and the substrate is deep. I've had E.murinus take to a burrow and other T's but I guess she isn't into my pre made burrows. Haha. She's even started to cover one hole with moss. I agree belefwripp maybe she's just one of a kind and does her own thing.
So I bought a sub adult Haplopelma last week. Exact sp I'm not sure was sold as an 'aisian chevron'. Looks like a vonwirthi/minax but is more grey brown than black. Anyway that's not the reason for this post... Since I've had her she hasn't used the pre made burrow. Her substrate is pretty deep...
Is anyone considering adding a specimen or two to their collection? Or has already?... Would be interesting to see some more pics and how it actually looks in the flesh.
I live in the UK andI keep both my Psalmopheus cambridgei and irminia at room temp all year round and they're fine. As said above heat pads cause more harm than good... If you feel the need to use it attach it to the wall or somewhere that's not directly in contact with your tarantulas enclosure.
I'd go for brickster's method and use Vaseline and a Q tip to pick them off. There's a few videos on YouTube of people using that meathod to get rid of mites...
Good luck! :)

Hope these help... :coffee:
I've had this problem before, the noise drove me crazy... I just fed any of the winged (chirpy) males to my tarantulas first. It's not an immediate solution I know but it works. I tend to use smaller crickets now 2/3 at a time as they don't have wings to chirp with. See if someone you know will...
Recently got a beautiful M. balfouri , an evil P. murinus, a stealthy H. maculata and a very cute P. subfuscia highland sling... Finally! (Looks like a cartoon spider with its big feet)
The BTS journal is something you get from being a member of the British Tarantula Society. Basically a paperback every few months with current info relevant to the hobby.
You can buy them here in the UK from- dartfrog.co.uk just order them online.
They're really good at keeping any mites or small patches of mould at bay. :)
Hmmm... I haven't much knowledge in barometrics but it would be interesting if we could find a link between the two. And if certain species or genus molt at certain atmospheric pressures?...

I had 36 T's moult in the space of a week last summer, it probably has to do with te synchronised feeding ritual to a certain degree.
I considered if it had anything to do with a strict feeding schedule (I feed all my T's on a Wednesday) and certain weather...
Hi everyone! Not been on here for a while... Been super busy.
Anyway... I have a P. ornata and a P. striata both females that are in pre molt together at the moment, thing is they molted about 10 months ago together and molted a few days apart previous to that? I also have P. irminia and...
