    cohabiting and live plants

Not too sure about your millipedes but for live plants I use golden pothos for my T's. You can buy them from home base, really easy to care for too they are usually labeled as scindapsus. :geek:

    Bold Haplopelma...

The humidity etc is fine and the substrate is deep. I've had E.murinus take to a burrow and other T's but I guess she isn't into my pre made burrows. Haha. She's even started to cover one hole with moss. I agree belefwripp maybe she's just one of a kind and does her own thing.

    Bold Haplopelma...

So I bought a sub adult Haplopelma last week. Exact sp I'm not sure was sold as an 'aisian chevron'. Looks like a vonwirthi/minax but is more grey brown than black. Anyway that's not the reason for this post... Since I've had her she hasn't used the pre made burrow. Her substrate is pretty deep...

Is anyone considering adding a specimen or two to their collection? Or has already?... Would be interesting to see some more pics and how it actually looks in the flesh.

    Just a concerned Trinidad owner

I live in the UK andI keep both my Psalmopheus cambridgei and irminia at room temp all year round and they're fine. As said above heat pads cause more harm than good... If you feel the need to use it attach it to the wall or somewhere that's not directly in contact with your tarantulas enclosure.

    Mites on tarantulas

I'd go for brickster's method and use Vaseline and a Q tip to pick them off. There's a few videos on YouTube of people using that meathod to get rid of mites... Good luck! :) ---------- Post added 06-12-2013 at 10:49 AM ---------- zU2kj_fN1yw MF_CNOTpSEc Hope these help... :coffee:

    Chirping Crickets

I've had this problem before, the noise drove me crazy... I just fed any of the winged (chirpy) males to my tarantulas first. It's not an immediate solution I know but it works. I tend to use smaller crickets now 2/3 at a time as they don't have wings to chirp with. See if someone you know will...

    Whip-spiders__Need opinion about terrarium

I keep my 2 D diadema in a communal set up. As long as there's plenty of food available they will cohabit quite well...

    Tarantulas molting in sync?...

Hmmm... I haven't much knowledge in barometrics but it would be interesting if we could find a link between the two. And if certain species or genus molt at certain atmospheric pressures?...

    Tarantulas molting in sync?...

Today, 03:06 PMArachtion I had 36 T's moult in the space of a week last summer, it probably has to do with te synchronised feeding ritual to a certain degree. I considered if it had anything to do with a strict feeding schedule (I feed all my T's on a Wednesday) and certain weather...

    P. irminia sling "coccoon"

My P. irminia does a similar thing before it molts. Pretty normal I think to seal themselves away. :)

    Tarantulas molting in sync?...

Hi everyone! Not been on here for a while... Been super busy. Anyway... I have a P. ornata and a P. striata both females that are in pre molt together at the moment, thing is they molted about 10 months ago together and molted a few days apart previous to that? I also have P. irminia and...

    Regarding T's escaping...

This would be very interesting to witness and see how different species react to having the opportunity to escape.
