I have no idea. I found it in a marsh near Anchorage Alaska. All I know is it is a male and found it wandering around.

look at the bottom segments on the abdomen. The females are larger and have 6, the males are much smaller and have 10 or 12.

Grow American pitcher plants. The Cotinis mutabilis seems to be very attracted to them as I find them all around my plants every day during summer.
