this is how i like to stack my pedes...

Really nice setup. Clean and organized. I'd be embarrased to show my setup. Ony have one in a plastic CK, a 7" Giant Viet. The enclosures you use are a bit low for my taste. This guy is very aggressive and would easily climb over the edge of those containers. Specially at feeding/cleaning time...

Any scorpions that NEVER need water.

I have to agree. Just the scorps "body language" if you will convinced me that the bicolor choose to stay on the damp piece of towel of his own choosing. That and watching my newly arrived LQ drink from a bottle cap for 40 something minutes with his face in the water is to me, proof that they...

No worries with that. I wet it every week or 2 like you said. Also keep the lamp on till it evaporates, usually overnight.

Any scorpions that NEVER need water.

I do just what Rod suggests, but extend it to adults as well. Last nite's bed check revealed my A. bicolor lying on top of the wet piece of paper towel. Looked quite happy too... I figure its there if they want it, and if not, no harm done.

Best Mail Service for Sending T's? (in the U.S.)

Wow, I had no idea. I completely agree tho. What Deftones says about FedEx is also true. I like knowing exactly where things are, and with FedEx, you do. My worst fear with any shipping co is getting the box crushed or ripped and no animal inside. That would be a nightmare. Don't want the postal...

Anybody know anything about grow lights?

LOL, I was thinking the same thing, but in NY/NJ that kind of "vegetable" growing equipment may get unwanted attention from the cops... We are not as liberal as you west coasters, at least not yet <wink>. The OP also mentioned cost as a factor, I'm guessing that that type of lighting is...

Anybody know anything about grow lights?

I guess some of the tender stuff is. All of the plants I grow now are tropicals for terrarium use. The OP said he had no direct sun on the house, so veg plants would be difficult. I also bring in the tropicals to my garage, but it is heated. Thats where they winter. Not sure what I'm gonna do...

Anybody know anything about grow lights?

I think you are going to be out of luck my friend. I tried this a few years ago with a few starter trays of assd veg plants using a 4' florescent fixture with 4 gro lite bulbs. I the trays near a white painted wall and on a white surface to better reflect the light. It was fine for a month or so...
