    Introduce Yourself

Hey everyone. So I've been on here reading and reading figured I'd finally introduce myself. I'm T.J. from Arizona, 28 years old. I've had just about every pet out there and I'm just now getting into T's. I was bit as a kid by a wolf spider while playing on a tree house. Still have a good scar...

    Who molted today?

My Obt last night. From .75 to 1.25ish. I got her (being optimistic) Tuesday night while picking up feeders. $9 I could not pass it up. She ate a cricket yesterday and I woke up this morning to find it had molted.

Looking to get my first snake in the near future...need some opinions please!

Through my years with serpents I'd recommend king. I'd stay away from argentine and green tree boas. Kenyan boas are awesome, quick to try to bite but calm down fast. Good luck to you.

What's your take on rescuing T's from a pet store?

I feel some people are being a little harsh on LPS. Most are bulk sales versus priority for the animals. I really have lucked out, my LPS is family owned. Although I'm newer to T's I've had tons of experience with almost every other pet, and this place has always been great. They have at least...

Fire belly toad is skinny and is barely eating

With other reptiles (i had both uromastyx and grey tree frogs do this to me) I had dominance issues. I had to seperate totally till health came back. Although I have lost a tree frog to stress, sometimes just handling frogs is enough to stress them. I hope all works out.

    Tortoise ate a rock....what should I do?

I have a 15lbs sulcata that lives in the backyard. An Arizona backyard seems to be the perfect for him. Hes always eating small rocks. Watch him and only get a little worried if his eating slows, with out the temps dropping. Ours will slow down after the night temps drop below 70ish.

    So I found an Exo-Terra...

Both leopard geckos and crested geckos are super easy. Crested are even easier than leopards. No heat needed if your house is in the 70's to low 80's. No UVB lighting needed(as with most nocturnal lizards), water, and crestie mixed food and crickets. A pokie is much less food cost though.

    Male Egyptian Uromastyx (aegypticus)

Great looking Uro. I've got 13 right now. Best desert reptile ever! Too many are so under nourished, really good to see yours with it's belly. I wish I had room for egyptions, right now I keep both red and gold Saharans, Mali, and ornate. Although I picked up a baby "Mali" that now I'm wondering...
