When I had beardies they LOVED dandelion greens. If they'd eat nothing else they'd down the dandelion greens. And collard greens, they enjoyed those as a second favorite.
I also had a little female that was given to me as a charity case because she had IBD and dandelion was the only thing...
I keep my 40+ snakes in my bedroom (mainly ball pythons) as well as my small collection of arachnids and my reptiles are much much louder then my Ts. The only things that used to irritate me are the crickets.
They don't allow any venomous reptiles in Indiana, nor do they allow us to keep native species so copperheads are still out. I tend not to think before posting. Sorry about the confusion.
A friend of mine that comes here keeps his communally if I remember correctly but I prefer to keep mine seperate, then again I was well into reptiles before becoming involved in arachnids so I'm used to the "one per enclosure" rule and just carried it over.
I have come to appreciate the Dollar General stores and the Dollar Tree stores for cheap containers that can have many uses. And of course a cordless drill.
Heh, it's okay. I've done the same thing believe me.
As for an estimate most of the time the general physical runs about $50 give or take ten. Then the medication can vary. Be sure to ask the vet if they have experience with reptiles, I've seen some "interesting" situations with vets that...
I don't keep the temps that high constantly, only for the time I was dealing with the RIs. This was backed up by my vet when I told him how I had dealt with my first RIs. All three snakes recovered and are thriving.
Yes, I agree but since it isn't a law it happens more time then not so I prefer to do my best to help the animal then argue about it. I rarely have to use my vet, and he's quite willing to talk to me if I have a question over the phone... great vets are hard to find but worth their weight in...
Bettas are nothing like killiefish.
Believe me I bred them for five years. My females were kept in ten gallon tanks with light filtration and my males were kept in gallon tanks with weekly water changes. My males lived to between three and four and a half years and my females averaged four...
And this is a good reason to never house your snakes together... but that advice is a day late and a dollar short by now.
I'd place my money on an RI. Did you do the research on temps and humidity before you got these guys? Do you have the contact information of the breeder you got them from...
I've read both yes and no, when yes they always suggested a 20 gal or larger tank. I keep mine separate right now mainly because of the size differences between them.
I hail from Indiana. I currently have three A. Avics and am looking into getting more Ts though my passion is Ball Pythons. I tend to be more of a lurker then an active poster but I've already read and learned quite a bit from many of you.
