It's one person's opinion. I'm on tarantula boards all the time, and I have ONE tarantula. Then again, I have no life, but that's besides the point. Tarantula keeping is a hobby, and just because it's unique doesn't make you a nerd or geek. (hey, look at that, it rhymed)
I know people who are older and still play Pokemon. Given, they are either nerds or losers, but they still count :) .
People who play Pokemon are often looking to relive the past. Although, besides the new Pokemon released that are desperate attempts at being original, the improvements in each...
Well, doesn't that narrow it down much >_> . I meant, OTHER THAN THAT, if there was anything in particular he was looking for. Arboreal or terrestrial? Any specific colors? Adult size preferred?
Well, since I've seen this thread countless times and I have favoritism toward my own tarantula, I guess I'll just throw in a random name.
G. pulchra
There's a lot of tarantulas to choose from, and it would better help our recommendations if you gave a list or gave us a more specific idea of...
If I were you I'd wait and get all three, but the one that I'd pick first, or mainly the best option, would be G. pulchra. I admit to favoritism because I have one myself, but they're really awesome. Good luck with your decision!
Amen to that. It's always business, and it's not going to stop happening. But when something like that happens, it really makes you wonder what would happen if you weren't there, and if someone else is making such a bad mistake. Staff is hardly ever helpful, and the problem is just that pet...
LOL! But anyways, the point of this thread isn't to start a mob against pet stores for them to stop selling a certain animal- their store would go empty! I'm just saying that I wish tarantulas weren't sold at pet stores. It's not like I can do anything about that.
Becker? I guess that guy's still getting business (and soon, too). It just goes to show, prices trump all else. Well, I'm not here to talk you out of your decision, so I wouldn't put much substrate for the GBB. It'll just end up webbing itself so much that the substrate will hardly be visible...
Not really. It's very difficult to search for them locally, and when I finally find something it turns out to have Miracle-Grow. Ordering online is my thing, but that's just me.
I'm sure this discussion is probably over by now, but I'd like to add that this was probably a thought-out (if not thought-out well) plan. The snake looks very similar to the one in the photo, although it's clear that they are different snakes.
Congrats on finally making your decision. Honestly, congrats- I'm the exact same way about these things. Probably why I've had 1 tarantula for almost 2 years now, and I'm still pondering over which one to get next.
